I'm working my way through the first and 3rd link. The 2nd link is a list of resources that will take me the rest of my life to get thru.

Any other resources? Books? Videos?

Midi book/help

I'm looking for a good resource to get me up to speed on all things having to do with Midi instruments and software. I don't even know or understand the jargon. I have an ancient Midi book or two, but these were really poorly written and left me none the wiser. Ditto for the Korg manuals. Is there ...

Totally agree.

But come on... We're talking about the same company that didn't put in a couple of RAM chips and some empty user program/combi spots. And just look at the sorry things they call manuals. They really don't care what we think. --- Too pessimistic? *laugh*

Listen to Audition of Nylon Guitar 2 A:012. There definitely are effects applied to achieve these sounds (like string bending). It is not just the A:012 program played straight ''out of the box''. Also, Audition plays at a higher volume. I estimate, I need to turn up the volume about 20% to match ...

My recent purchase of two 32MB RAM chips from the ebay store FOURNIERSEAN Enterprises went smoothly. Good price; fast service; RAM worked (once I got it to click into place correctly) and they sent a CD with drum sounds and a few other toys on it.

Some questions: 1- Should not KORG take notice that EVERY SINGLE PERSON that buys a TR or LE asks the same question ? 2- Should not KORG solve it ? 3- (Will I be banned from this forum by the people of Korg? :) ) PS: Another one: Should'nt be the "classic" threads always on the top of the forum ...

Certainly the TR must be able to provide a metronome. The TR can play rhythms/pattern and a metronome is just a simple rhythm/pattern. Why they buried it, I don't know... I searched ''metronome'' and ''patterns'' in the PDF manuals. I didn't study it deeply and Korg's documents s***, but I'm sure it ...

TR memory

Thanks. Knowing that the banks are Read Only Memory helps me understand a little better, though it does raise some other questions in my mind. Well, I'll keep working at it...

Loading sound

I have the TR61. I had no problems loading PCG files by following the "step by step" instructions that fischek provided here. http://www.gazibara.net/tr/loading.htm Hope this helps you out! It helped me! ](*,) I'm really trying to understand this stuff, but... Is a sound the same thing as ...

I read another thread on this forum that makes me think the the TR has a defective (or perhaps just cheaply made) joystick.

I am brand new to the TR (my ancient Clavinova is built like a tank) so I don't know if it's normal for pitch wheels/joysticks to break. Sounds junky to me...

Cool. I didn't know that I could save the settings. I'll check that out.

I have a pedal for the damper. No problems there. It was Sostenuto I was looking for.
