OK, you can try a flash reset.
-> hold CUE 7 + CUE 8 Buttons and start your Z8.

If this doesn't work, send your Zero back to the Korg service team.

:lol: To bad.

When you switch on your Z6, you can see in the up left corner of the display the OS number.

Was it: 1.60 or 1.60* ?

1.60* means software error.

Now, I'm back from my Christmas Holidays... and I'll try to eat nothing for the next 2 weeks! :) so, i should be fine to use the mixer the way i want..ie, when you say 3 midi-channels, you mean 3 midi-modes, one of them being Midi In/Out which I will need). Re: midi without firewire connection?

so..big question, will the Midi work without the Firewire connection? I realise, I'll have to set up the midi-settings first using the ZeroEdit software, but will it hold these settings without the firewire connections. Geoff Yes, there is a flash memory for the MIDI-settings inside the Z8. The Z8 ...

I can use my Zero 8 only in the studio. Because, you can't use external fx equipment in an audio channel with software fx (from Ableton) in a midi channel together in one mix. _The Send knobs (ext1, ext2, zero fx send) are not independent per channel! And... I'm waiting for updates and waiting and ...

Hi, 1. -> There is a short break in the audio signal when you switch from audio (firewire) to audio/midi (firewire) and back. 2. -> Yes, if you use the firewire interface (audio, audio/midi, midi) the audio signal pass thru anyway. The different between audio/midi and midi: @ audio/midi - you can ...

Re: ZERO 8 - implementation of new functions

1. The controller bank buttons A,B,C and D send no CC. BEN: Does this mean the controller bank knobs are not midi-assignable? I would like to use them to control the switches/rotaries in Traktor / Ableton. Yes! I want to use this knobs to switch between my Ableton Live macros, but the knobs are ...

I got the problem!
The Zero 8 had no independent channels.
When I turn a knob all other knobs would be updated.
