I recorded with a mono cable, played back with a mono signal thru a stereo cable. It took some tweaking with the audio levels but I got it to work.

Did anyone end up ordering the Roland bag? And if so, how does it work for the R3?

I found a hardshell suitcase that fit the R3 but I have to sandwich it between 2 full sized pillows to make it secure.

I can't help with your question, but the USB problem may need updated drivers.

You need to connect the MIDI Out of the synth to the MIDI In of the sequencer. That will let the sequencer record the synth data. You also need to connect the MIDI Out of the sequencer with the MIDI In on the synth. That lets the sequencer tell the synth what to play.

Try layering the oscillators for thicker sounds.

Where did you order it from?

Just bought an R3 and decided to sign up. I'm having tons of fun with the new synth, and its a good addition to my Korg arsenal which includes a Poly 800 with the Moog Slayer mod, a Poly 800 mkII, an EX800 and a DDR-1 drum machine. Pretty old gear but I still enjoy playing all of them. Cheers! -Ollie
