Hi, on a second thought, isn't it possible to slave EMX to your edirol, and when you push play...it should go?? Tried that? I recently brought an electribe mx ( without a manual) and all i seem to be able to do is record or edit the preset patterns. When i try and record my own beat, press write, then stop, then press play, it just plays the preset pattern again. when i look at videos on youtube people just seem to be ...

The only way I know, is via system exclusive messages. For that, you need to have a midi controller that can write and send sysex,(I just checked and yours can). Then you need info from page 85 from the manual, (About System Excl. messages how the message is constructed) and Korgs' sysex command ...
