...problem being that logic does not exist on windows machines. you'll probably need something like reaktor, pure data, max/msp, max4live, or bome's midi translator, as well as some programming experience do to something like that. or you could just write a program in processing or whatever your ...

okay, you can't control the program 1-8 buttons or the A-D buttons LEDs. to keep the last touched area lit up you have to send three messages - one to the x-coord, one to the y-coord, and one to the touch sensor. you set the place to be lit, then you tell the screen it's being touched there. i don't ...

look, seriously, no offense, but there is not a pressure sensor. there just isn't. it has a touch sensor, they're different things. you're going to have to do some trial and error to achieve what you want, and you'll probably have more luck getting help on an electronics hobbyists forum.... i'd help ...

personally i'd suggest buying a cheap computer.
mine cost $500, has 4 gigs of ram, a 2.2 gig dual processor, 4 usb ports and 320 gigs of harddrive space. you're not going to get the same sort of power/usability out of any hardware recorder at that price.

you need a computer or a controller like the ruin/wesen midicommand to do this. but it is possible.

i'll be writing a reaktor script to do something similar pretty soon if you have that keep an eye on the user library.

if you're looking for a synth unit at the same price as the kaossilator i'd suggest the DSI Mopho, which can be controlled externally with ease. The kaossilator is a pain to control with external gear, and i wouldn't call it a synth - it has 100 built in sounds that can't be changed, it's more of a ...

i still get occassional e-mails thanking me for this work, the newer versions are pretty clean but have a few flaws that will never be fixed. i've moved on from programming for the kp3. a few folks have problems but they generally have not taken the time to understand whaat's going on. i would ...

i have a feeling many of us passed on the kpro. i certainly did. the people that didn't pass don't seem too psyched on the implementation - therefore it's not too surprising we're not seeing many virtuosos. "The KOPro is like having 4 Kaossilators! " it doesn't seem like the kpro does much that wasn ...

to answer the original question, i have done this and it is very easy. read the respective manuals for ableton and the kp3 and make sure you're sending the right messages and it should be fairly simple. it sounds like you probably have some setting wrong in ableton or renoise or something simple ...

lol, i'm still not sure i understand, but i've yet to play with a kpro so maybe it's my fault... you want to be recording a sound without being able to hear it? my guess is that the input is tied directly to the output, attenuated only by the input volume knob. so it wouldn't matter what volume the ...
