I know Ruso usually has his stuff together on these forums, but I have to disagree. I JUST picked up the Korg 2009 paper catalog, and both current Electribes are present. Granted they're toward the back and only given a half page (shared with KP3), but it does not look like they're discontinued at ...

I know you're sore right now, but I have to ask. . . Did you get the name of the first person you talked to? Get back in touch with THAT person. and give that contact information to the service center as well. Always get the name/ID/direct phone number of the person who authorized something like ...

I was just reading the manual today (on a completely unrelated issue), but the paragraph describing your issue was one I skimmed over. The Send <-> Direct switch on the back is what you want to change. According to the manual, the "Send" setting sends ONLY effected signal, so if you have no effect ...

Don't know if anyone's seen this yet, but apparently Korg heard the complaints about color, and (at least in Japan) are releasing black versions of the Nano series controllers. Release date lists "end of November" in Japanese, but it's unclear whether they mean the nano series or the black units ...

Thanks for the quick reply Ruso. I think I'm going to give these a shot. They have a large flat plate design, and are touted as being more for home stereo applications and not so much for guitar amp distortion, so after reading what you said, I they just might be a good fit. I can get them locally ...

Has anyone tried these tubes?

Hey all - I'm getting an older (fuse replaced under warrantee era) used EMX and pretty sure I'm going to want to replace the tubes because it's never been done and I'm certain these have been beat on. I've been doing my reading, and I know that most everyone is using the JJ's and these hold up ...

I can't stand it when those plugs go bad. Do you know if it's the same as the KP3?

I live right next to an electronics part store, and I can bring mine over to compare. If you can't get one locally, I'd be willing to post it to you too if you want.

Let me know,

Changed the cable. No effect. I still have the same problems. . . I'm not certain about my earlier statement now either. Initially it looked like the Shift-7 command put the KP3 in a "card reader" mode, and it DOES use the standard mass storage drivers to load and mount the card on both Mac and ...

I don't own an EMX-1, although I am familiar with them. I also think you'll do just fine with buying one. Do haggle it down a bit though. You should be paying around $400-$450, not $500. (save the extra for a smartmedia card?) Bear in mind that if you are just starting out as you say, then there's a ...

Just an update for anyone that cares. I've found that I have the same issue mounting the SD card with Shift-7. After I transfered some files I had made today with the KP3 Editor software, the card refused to unmount itself claiming it was "busy". I shut down all the applications, and even restarted ...

Also be sure you have the latest version of the Korg USB MIDI driver. (I think it's 1.0.8). I have the same setup, and the MIDI port options are different than yours. Mine lists "RADIAS - KBD/KNOB" for MIDI IN, and "RADIAS - SOUND" for MIDI OUT. There's no option for "RADIAS DUMP..." in my version ...

Is that an issue with the Korg driver? or with OS X itself? I haven't come across any info on problems with the new driver, but there was a post about the old driver not recognizing newer gear (which makes sense). Not sure if it's a recognition issue either since it DOES work. . . once. I think ...

EMX / ESX mkII please

Hey all, I'm pretty sure no one knows (or if they do, can't say anything), but I thought I would ask anyway. How long do you think it will be before we see new Electribe(s)? I really want to buy an ESX-1 and detach myself from the PC, but I don't feel like buying one is a good idea right now. Mostly ...

KP3 on Mac locks up USB bus?

hey folks, I've searched around, but haven't been able to find any conversations about my current issue. I just got myself a KP3, and am loving it, -BUT- (there's always one) When I use the Editor Librarian software to upload loops to the device, it works exactly ONCE. I build the program, transmit ...

Excellent, Like I said, I'd been floating around the forums and watching youtube videos for a while now, and you're exactly the person I hoped would respond. Video is very informative. How these two devices can fit together in a workflow. Good tracks too. Thanks for that! The EMX being easy to ...
