Advise on seat

I recently decided to switch from mostly standing during a show to mostly sitting. I currently use a bench type seat, but I was thinking of switching to a drum throne type with a backrest and wheels. Has anyone tried this type of setup and what are your thoughts. I play a Kronos 73 key as my only ...

Running left and right cables to a mono amp

Hi All,

Is there any advantage to running both a left and right cable from my Kronos to a mono amp like the Roland KC550?

Thanks
Mark

Kronos sounds to my new Krome

I just picked up a 73 key Krome and I was wondering if there is an easy way to copy Programs and Combis from my Kronos to the Krome.

I don’t mean to sound ignorant, but is there a proper way to shut my kronos down?

Thanks for all the advice. I have some research to do now.

I noticed that no one recommended the Roland Fantom.

Because I was hoping that this keyboard would also be a backup to my Kronos if it had any problems something like the Set List where I could organize patches would be very useful. Does anyone know if most of these boards have something like the Set List?

Good second keyboard

I currently have a Kronos X 73 key as my only keyboard. I’m in a cover band that plays roughly twice a month. Recently I thought it might be a good idea to have a backup keyboard in case I have a problem with my Kronos just before a gig. My first thought would be to purchase a second Kronos but due t ...

Thanks for all the different points of view. I agree completely with many of the members here as far as trying to make the songs sound as good as possible and I do work hard to recreate important parts of the songs we are covering. I guess my point was just like anything else it can be taken to an ...

Re: Just venting

Is anyone else in a cover band where other members think it’s no big deal to ask you if you can cover some nonsense part in a new song you are trying to do? I will list below some of the recent requests I’ve received. Please let me know if this is the new norm and I’m just being too sensitive. Unbe ...

Perhaps my singer and drummer might want to go in 1/2's and purchase one of these

We did the EMF song when it was new. Did the vocal samples with....um....vocals. Why not? Saying you have to have the original samples is like saying you don't sound like Steve Perry, so how can you do journey without sampling him? It's pretty simple....you do your best Andrew dice clay impression ...

Unless you getting paid alot i would get close to the recording as i could and let it go. I am one that has played most parts like the recordings as close as i can if possible. But sound effects like this i have done some but not alot. My musical taste and bands that i know do not play some of ...

I was doing that but I started running out of unused keys
