PA700 samples volatile

Hi, If you load samples into a PA700 do they stay in internal memory or are they volatile and need to be loaded every time you turn on the PA700? I don’t own this keyboard but the place I teach at has a PA700 and I couldn’t find an answer to this in the manual. Thanks!

The Forte 7 is a bit heavy but not quite as bad as some other boards. The worst one is the Montage 8. The church group I play with just got one and it has a wonderful action. I’m so glad that I don’t have to move that one as not only it weighs 63 lbs but is quite bulky as well. A Kronos 88 is not qui ...

While it has 2GB of flash ROM like Forte SE you can load 2GB of user samples into Flash as opposed to the 188 MB limit of the Forte SE. Also I think the PC4 will weigh around 27 lbs which makes it portable for those who carry their own gear

Kurzweil has done a lot of updates for the Forte the past couple of years. Definitely not just a stage piano anymore.

ESC is cool but has not been updated in many years. Unfortunately I think the developer must have passed away since no one has heard from him in years. Too bad as it is very good.

Being that I am a former Motif XF owner all of those guitars out of the box sound better on the Motif than the Kronos and IMHO you would have to invest in some third party sound libraries for the Kronos in the guitar sound department.

Yeah I never use the Berlin Grand. The lower range sounds pretty good but when you get to the midrange and higher the sound to my ears chesses out. Busch's Purgatory Creek pianos are the way to go to my ears but that's just my opinion.

Kronos like all other keyboards have had their problems. When I bought my Kronos new I had to send it back as there were several keys that were making loud clacking noises which is unacceptable. The earlier Kurzweil's were well known for their issues. My Forte keyboard works great no quality control ...

FWIW I would gladly play a gig using either the Forte or the Kronos as they are both very good sounding keyboards. The 88 key Forte is definitely a bit easier to move than the Kronos 88 for gigging. The Montage looks like they are bulky like the XF series. I think portability is important if you are ...

If you buy some libraries and do a fair amount of audio recording the SSD can get nearly full pretty quickly.
