Thanks all for the advice. I don’t think the seller is crooked ... maybe misinformed ... said he never noticed the note problem when he gigged with it .. I could believe that if he wasn’t sustaining those notes. I’m leaning toward returning it but I’m waiting to hear back from Korg support and for a ...

Bizzare Keyboard Issue - Advice Appreciated

Just purchased a used Kronos 61 from eBay - advertised as a Kronos-X (it wasn't - it was original Kronos) with 2 chipped keys underneath side only (G4 and A4) but perfectly functioning. Well - it's not perfect - keys C3,D3,F3 and G3 exhibit an odd behavior - when I sustain the keypress a second of ...

Re: My Kronos X needs a new KLM-3002, which is NLA

I tried looking around and can't find a used one. Korg says it's no longer be produced. Do I have a giant boat anchor now? Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Ryan Ryan, I've got an Intel D525MW motherboard - that was the motherboard used in the Kronos X. I purchased it ...

I think it's a moot point whether it's one or two. Mine is one point - it says press done when finished and shows a bar that detects aftertouch. But I have to put 6+ lbs of pressure on the key before it even starts detecting any aftertouch, and then I have to add pressure until the bar is a 3rd or ...

Since I doubt that Korg will update the AT software part, I decided to fix it myself. Can you provide more details on your modification? It's quite impressive but I wouldn't know where to start by watching the video. You said you did testing did before your purchased the hardware for your ...

I did perform the aftertouch calibration - it requires you press down until an acceptable top end of the range is defined - but you don't have any control over the minimum pressure. I have to put 6 lbs of force on the keyboard before a minimum aftertouch even starts to register on the calbration ...

Korg Kronos Aftertouch Issue?

I just purchased a refurb Kronos 88 platinum from Sweetwater. When it arrived several keys were stuck - I had to loosen the keybed screws on the bottom of the keyboard and press it back a little so free the keys. Everything was great for a day while I was checking out keyboard instruments, but when ...

DX7 Breath Control Patches to Kronos

Has anyone messed with converting DX7 breath control patches? I loved playing those on my DX7 years ago, but they don't respond to breath control properly when imported into the Kronos. The DX7 had an EG bias setting you could switch on that allowed the breath controller to drive the oscillator ...

Honest opinions about the gear are always welcome, as I made very clear in my previous post. RAM and SSD upgrades are offered by Korg and our registered service centers, so I don't see that you were forced to do those yourself. Perhaps your primary concern is about the fan? Dan, one thing that ...

Yes, the R is for refurbished. I couldn't justify spending $4K on a Kronos X so I went with the lower priced refurbished original Kronos. I figured a refurb might be the best way to go on the original Kronos - the factory has already addressed issues with it and it comes with a full 2 year warranty ...

I had my "new" refurb Kronos 88 repaired twice for keybed issues. As received the K88 had both uneven velocity response and a bad cutoff/double trigger issue. I dropped it off at a local repair center (if you call an hour away local) and they replaced the contacts only, stating it was Korgs fix now ...

Any solution ever come out of this? I'm experiencing the same thing - The Krome is recognized by PC (shows in device manager, says driver working correctly) but doesn't work as a midi device. The Krome editor sees it and says not connected, Sonar doesn't list it as a midi device. I downloaded the ...

I'd like to see an assignable footswitch function where you can go forward or backward from the footswitch, like an instantaneous press= forward 1 program, a >1 sec held press = backward 1 program. Should be easily do-able.
