Hi Daz, Actually, at this point I would probably go to OWC and get Mac stuff but I had this left from an ill-fated purchase of a Sony VAIO laptop last April ('08) when I got PO'd because my Tascam US122 wouldn't work right with Vista 32. Vista wouldn't shut down because it said there was a USB ...

No, you don't have to use Apple ram. I just put in two 2 gig SODIMMS of Kingston ram into my 2.2gig MacBook and it runs perfectly.

I also replaced the 120 gig 5400 rpm original HD with a Seagate 200 gig 7200 rpm one and it also works just fine.

Got all that stuff from Newegg.com in the USA.

Hi Sharp, The Platinum Pro XP Bundle is the #1 epic movie, in your face library at this point in time. It is very easy to use out of the box because it is all setup for that. The downside is that it is very, very difficult to get a "normal" symphony orchestra sound out of it and that is why I bought ...

LOL, Sharp, you're going to have one hell of a lot of "fun" trying to run that on a laptop!!!!!! A little over a year ago, EWQL was highly recommending the use of 4!!! computers to run Platinum Pro XP; one each for strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion, each with at least 2 GB of ram. It ...

Daz, how did you get copies of the old Notator and Cubase for Atari programs? If they are available anywhere, I would like to get them to play around with using the emulatorl.

Thanks,
Tom

Where did you get yours from? I'm VERY interested in the 76 key version for use in my studio.

Thanks,

Richard, FWIW, when I first got my Wavestation EX keyboard a year ago I did a LOT of web searching and one of the things I found was that quite a few people had trouble getting Prorec sysex files to load. It seems that somehow their "master" card got corrupted and they kept selling copies anyway and ...

Interesting. I've had my fully expanded Trinity (originally Solo but now Moss) since 1998 and have never gigged with it. It has always simply set on my two keyboard stand and has only been moved once when we changed living quarters from our business (out in the country with an apartment included) to ...

On the other hand, I have both a Pa80 and a Tyros on a two keyboard stand with the Tyros on the bottom. There are things about the Pa80 I prefer to the Tyros and things about the Tyros I prefer over the Pa80. I happen to prefer the Tenor Sax, the Trumpet and the Sweet Harmonica of the Pa80 over ...
