Thanks, Randelph. Yes, I had read all the comments in this thread, but nowhere did I see it explicitly stated that you can use a flash drive for saving songs. It seems very strange that the Operation Guide would not include this crucial bit of information, but it seems to be a pattern with all the ...

Newbie question related to this topic: so can you use a USB 2.0 flash drive to save songs to? The M3 Operation Guide says "You can use a USB hard disk [whatever that is] or CD-R/RW drive to save or load M3 data such as PCG or SNG files, or WAVE files." The Operation Guide says nothing about USB 2.0 ...

Fender Telecaster input

I want to overdub electric guitar tracks on keyboard and drum tracks. Can I run my Telecaster through my Korg ToneWorks Pandora PX4D multi-effects processor and then into the audio input of my M3 module?

Bruce, in your situation of a home setup you will want powered monitor speakers made for keyboards. I just got my M3 a couple of months ago. I then went to Guitar Center and listened to several brands of powered speakers. The quite knowledgeable keyboard guy at the store recommended a pair of Yamaha ...

Zubair, about an hour ago I followed Rob's link to the Karmalab page titled "Korg M3: Upgrading to Xpanded OS v2." I followed the directions there, also referring to my Korg M3 Operation Guide that came with the workstation, as well as the "M3 Xpanded Upgrade Guide (for web downloaded files)." You ...

Thanks for the responses, including Rob's poem and Greg's perspective as a cat owner. I am going to look into a workstation stand that will allow me to block the cats' access to the keyboard and studio monitors.

how to cat-proof a Korg?

My cats are generally very well behaved, but stuff happens. Does anyone know where I can get some rigid keyboard cover for my M388 that the cats can nap, walk, throw up on, etc. with no effect on the instrument? I'd like something rigid to keep them from stomping on the keys and pads, as well as ...

new M3 88 owner from California

Just unpacked my new M3 88 last night and was up until 2:30 a.m. checking out the programs. What a machine! I channeled Ozzy's keyboardist and some others, but disciplined myself to start seriously reading the manual and learning the controls. I'll be doing that for a while. Next stop--the M3 Forum.
