Question about the damper affect on pianos, Well really on the electric piano sounds. The Pan Suit Piano sounds awesome, but the sustain when pushing the damper is WAAAAY to long. I have set all the decays down done tons of stuff and still it just rings on an on forever. Chords blend and sounds ...

Midi playback?

I am using sonar 6, I have some midi files I want to play back while connected to the M3, I cannot get a good .ins file to be able to set the tracks in sequencer mode. How do you play back a midi file on sonar using the m3 correctly?

sustain pedal

I have the SP2 sustain pedal. Not sure how the half damper calibration works, but alot of my electronic piano sounds sustain much too long. Is this a damper pedal issue, or is there a release/sustain value setting I need to change?

Thanks

I have a Radias and it sounds fatter and thicker to me, even if you sample there is something different to it. Like when you turn on the tube on the Triton Extreme it sounds fatter and thicker. shrug

Radias is for a Techno style mainly. Radias is much thicker sounding than the board. However there is a way to achieve the same thickness with the board. I havent tried it tho

Also if you watch the youtube videos and listen to Rudess talk about his choice of the the Oasys, it was because of Karma. He likes the sounds and the fact he can replace soo many boards with 1 board. IMO if you bought Oasys MAINLY for Karma you need to just get a computer and get the FULL Karma ...

I like the 88. its does depend on the music you play tho. Some types of music play smoother on the non hammer action keyboards.

Karma OL is the new Karma 2.5 with six independent KARMA Modules and 32 scenes in each layer. The Oasys has not the CPU Power to do that and the Open labs Neko is a more success product than the Oasys. http://www.karma-lab.com/forum/showthread.php?s=f10c5d7f59f814392a0c5cdfeda585ae&t=14053 Oasys ...

Why do you forum trolls keep insisting that Karma is done with KORG? You tried getting a used M3 lately? They are selling and people are keeping them. Karma is going nowhere as far as korg is concerned. Did karma take down all their Korg products and say we are EXCLUSIVE with company X now? Can the ...

Calm down people. Karma is a software. Korg still has the fattest sounding synths around. I for one dont like VST and will always be a keyboardist that plays his music on the most expressive machines around. IMO this is all good, more cash flow for Karma and more improvements he can sell to Korg and ...

I have played on both keyboards, and the Oasys is far better for a real keyboard player. These new Neko's are DJ machines IMO. I dont like VST, I like real sounding synthesis. I have a M3, but I one day hope to afford an Oasys. They are 2 different beast. Most people are not buying the Oasys SOLELY ...
