If you use a laptop or such nearby the Kronos, you could use a simple MIDI mapper or similar freeware. I personally use MIDI-OX for such things. I’ve stripped my rig down as far as possible for quick setup and tear down. And I’m trying to not touch anything but the kronos during the show. It does so ...

Sending midi note on setlist change

Hi all,
Thanks for any advice you might have.
I would like to have the kronos send a midi note automatically on changing the setlist selection. It will send cc messages but my light controller needs to get a midi note message.
Thanks!

Re: Kronos MIDI patch change / program/combi change?

Hi all, Is their a way to change program/combi via MIDI and in-between combi/program patches? I know it can be a pain programming two keyboards to synchronise patch changes, so I'm happy to use my laptop to bring everything together... Thanks, I have a similar question. I’d like to automatically s ...

That's a good song. Reminds me of Yes. What if you started the track at 0:52? That would be a great initial riff.

Footswitch assign by program NOT global?

I am afraid I know the answer, but hoping the experts on the forum might know of a solution. I would like my footswitch to do different things in different programs, as I move through my setlist. Leslie on off for an organ, mute a string channel on a ballad, portamento on a synth. I find that this ...

Saving EXT Control Surface settings with Combi or set list

Does anyone know if it’s possible to save the control surface settings with each Combi or set list program,? I am using the EXT functions to set parameters on my external effects unit. The settings change with each different patch in the set list. I thought I could save the EXT settings per Combi or ...

Re: Split Keyboard Zone for External Instrument via MIDI

I want to play an external software synth along with Korg internal sounds in the COMBI (or seq ) mode. I can't do that because the EXTERNAL MIDI instrument does not respect the ZONES of the Korg. Entire 88 keys play the same sound. Is there a solution to this ? There is solution :) but you did not ...

MIDI channels

I solved the problem! Apparently in Set List Mode, the Kronos always sends out PC messages corresponding to the Set List Slot numbers, if PC messages are enabled in Global settings of course. So to supress this behaviour and instead always let the PC message settings you have done in the combis be ...

sun and lcd screen

I have played quite a few outdoor gigs in the 80s or a little above and have had no problems with overheating. However, glare on the screen has been very troublesome. I can't even make out the patch names in some circumstances. I build a small deflector to try to shield the screen, but even the ...

Hello all, Why is pedal function a global setting? That's very limiting. Pedal functions should be assignable per patch. On an organ I want the swit rotary speed. On a guitar I want the same pedal to control bend, on horns I want mue or after touch. On some patches I want the volume pedal to be ...

Re: Korg Kronos - questions

Currently there are a few quite good B-3 emulations, and a few out of production but available used. In order of quality, in my opinion: 1. Korg Kronos 2. Hammond SK-2 3. E-mu b3 4. Korg cx-3 5. Kurzweil pc-3 6. Nord elect\\ I have never owned a Korg before and am considering getting a Kronos. It ...

Copy the whole master set list to a new set list location as a duplicate. Then rearrange the slots. narf & Falcon, I use the same method. One drawback is when I copy a slot from the master and paste it to my temp list I have to keep saving the temp list before going back to the master to get another ...
