If you want a realistic piano sound, then you're best of using a software instrument. After all, the R3 is also a midi keyboard :-) Have a look at: http://www.truepianos.com/ It's a tiny download (reasonable purchase price) and will make a very nice piano sound for you as a standalone app or VSTi ...
