If you mean audio-rate FM of the filter, the RADIAS doesn't really do that. The best you can get is a fast LFO. That said, the sorts of timbres you can create by audio-rate filter FM can easily be achieved through other means on the RADIAS. Do you want to fuzz up your sound a bit, like you'd get ...

I'd also be happy to assist in this project. I just recently got a RADIAS of my own, and I used to own an M3 with the EXB-RADIAS, so I'm pretty familiar with the architecture.

Re: Korg Radias - test mode - diagnostics - hot keys

Two years late, but I can answer one of these. This mode: [MASTER FX ON] + [PAGE -] + [PAGE +] + [POWER ON] = another Verup firmware update mode with firmware revision display is used to update the OS over 5-pin MIDI DIN, instead of over USB. Useful if you have a unit where the Cursor Up/Left and ...

I always considered the full commercial tutorial videos a waste of money, internet is full of excellent tutorials like the Qui's ones. Also, I always used tutorials online when I needed to do something specific, I don't want to waste hours following tutorials only to know how to do use that ...

Re: New video online: Adding a band-pass filter to an MS-20

Nice.

Applied to the mixer knobs, the inverted rubber-band-pass also gives you a dandy oscillator balance control.

What I don't get is why one would have to make this point by saying they would give up already existing engines. To have some signifier of how important I would consider the feature if it was actually implemented in some future workstation. If they're not engines that you normally use anyway, then ...

Re: Where'd You Get Your Analog Smarts? Chap looking for Cho

I would be very appreciative if anyone would weigh in on sources for a more intimate understanding of the technical process of synthesis, particularly analog/Korg specific. What I am after is a good, comprehensive understanding of analog synth features in clear and not overly technical explanations ...

An analog step sequencer might be fun for messing with rhythms and stuff. They can be a bit pricey though. well arturia's beatstep should be out soon, and has a very nice price considering all you can do with it. I saw one advertised for 100 USD which is reasonable to me. So, am confused as to why ...

Re: King Korg Piano Sounds

Howdy folks..I'm new to the forum but not new to Korg's..I have had Korg 61Tr forever..I love this thing but unfortunately it is beginning to wear out quick..it dies - (I think the power connection is going as it goes completely goes silent) I never really used it for sequencing or song creation ...

I'm just trying to wrap my head around what you are trying to achieve here. Let me know if I have it right. If you play your first note, hold it, say for a couple of beats, then release it, it decays until you play the next note. The first note stops completely? And you are trying to do this ...

Sorry, my bad. You'd want to set the release for channel 1 up to full, so that you get something as close to a raw oscillator signal (always on) as possible. (You may also want to limit the maximum number of notes for channel 1's program, especially if you're planning to use this in a combi with ...

I had tried using AMS on the release time, but couldn't find a suitable source; unfortunately there's no new note or even gate available. I also tried using gate effects and other tricks before arriving at the solution above. I don't think this is an effect that can be pulled off within a single ...

The only thing I can think of is to use combi mode: set up a basic polyphonic string-synth sound on channel 1, but leave the filter and amp sections untouched. Use basic organ-style envelopes. Then route channel 1 to one of the FX Control busses, so that it won't be heard by itself in the final ...

I'm not really sure how important it is to critically capture the tone of another subtractive synth, particularly a virtual-analog one. Thanks to popular demand, most modern VAs (including the Kronos) can emulate the sounds of most of the popular filter designs (Moog, SSM 2040, state-variable ...
