Portamento on keyboard, not step sequencer

Does anyone know if it's possible to route only the keyboard input through the portamento function, and not the step sequencer patterns? I tried to reproduce this bassline the other day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxBrGPwslTE And when I added portamento to the sound it applied to the changes ...

Yes, I am. I was beginning to think I might need to downgrade, but so far the new cable has fixed things.

Well... it's actually looking like it was my USB cable(s). I tried two cables, both with poor performance. One of them was the cable I have been using for years to run my audio interface, and has never given me an issue. But when I replaced it with a brand new cable, all my problems seemed to go ...

I'll give this a try, along with switching to a laptop.

I just tried to receive a standard dump of all program data in the SysEx screen of MIDI OX and I get nothing. The dialog box just says 0 bytes received, although the Kronos runs though 0-100% on the progress bar.

I believe the driver was installed first, then the Kronos connected. When I check device manager it does say "KORG KRONOS" not "KORG USB" and the driver properties indicate it is using 7/17/2019 version of Korg driver. You make a good point though, is there a reliable way to clear all MIDI drivers ...

Disappointing USB MIDI/Audio performance from Kronos

I've had the Kronos 88 for a couple of weeks now and so far the performance of the USB interface has been fairly disappointing. I am using an HP Z620 with a couple of Xeon processors and Windows 10. The hardware is pretty solid, almost everything else I have done with it has been successful - video ...

I purchased these the other day. They are great fun, well worth the money considering the effort that went into making them.

That's the second time I forgot to post the key count - 88. This is nothing more than a garage band, just me, and my daughter singing. Amusing ourselves. Maybe a guitarist from time to time. Kronos + M3 + Radias + Trinity

I've been tinkering with connecting up the 4 Korg synths I own, with a view to playing "live", either with Karma or the sequencer providing backing. I was thinking about having MIDI 1-5 Kronos, 6-10 M3, then the remainder going to Trinity, Radias and some Roland single patch keyboards. Does this ...

A-frame stand rated for Kronos?

I am looking to get a couple of A-frame stands to build out my keyboard rig. However it looks like most of them are only rated for 40lb keyboards.

I have a Kronos that I would like to install on the lower tier.

Is there a style of A-frame with a higher weight handling capacity?

OK thanks... yeah the whole thing is a bit of a grey area. Not looking to power the M3 via USB just send and receive control data Kronos A to M3 B. I tried it last night and could get no response, connecting a regular MIDI cable did work, as I expected it would. Online I have read that MIDI, network ...

Can the Kronos control an M3 module over USB using MIDI?

I have seen online that the Kronos is a USB compliant MIDI master, although I cannot find anything yet in the manual about it. https://www.tecontrol.se/products/usb-midi-breath-controller/faq "The Korg Kronos is a USB MIDI class compliant master." I have an M3 module - is there any chance that the ...

OK... so I tried turning it off and on again, and now the audio seems more stable. It does click and pop every so often, but I seem to remember USB audio being a bit like that in the past. Prone to the traffic on the bus.
