Kronos USB audio output device - crackling and fizzing

I installed the Korg driver for Kronos, and noted that the keyboard declared both a MIDI and audio interface when connecting to Win10 via USB.

However, when I send audio to the Kronos it renders with crackling and what sounds like aliasing artifacts. Is this a mismatch with the 48kHz/24bit on Kronos and whatever Windows is putting out (44.1kHz/16bit)?

Not sure where to check this on Win10.
Anyone else having issues with using the Kronos as a sound card?

OK... so I tried turning it off and on again, and now the audio seems more stable. It does click and pop every so often, but I seem to remember USB audio being a bit like that in the past. Prone to the traffic on the bus.
