What model of piano was sampled for Stereo Grand 2-way SW-1?

I have been using the " Stereo Grand 2-way SW-1 " piano patch as my "go to" piano for live work all the time I have owned my Kronos 73 Mk1 and I'm pretty sure I was using it on the M3-88 I had before that. Over that time, it's kinda become my signature piano sound. I am now at the point of retiring ...

Personally, I do play the stabs in fast succession manually, but agree you really need to be on your game to achieve this. I have seen another forum member who duplicated an octave by splitting the keyboard and so you can play the same notes with your left and right hands alternately, which should ...

For something extra, check out any Yamaha rack unit that will host the PLG add-on cards. I have a CS6R and MU100R for this very reason and have the PLG board slots populated with PLG150-VL for physically modelled sounds, PLG-150DX for FM, PLG100-VH for a harmoniser and a rather unique PLG100-SG that ...

What model were you using? Was it rated for your application. Bigger is better. The better units cost upwards of $300 (US). A UPS for the Kronos is always a good idea. After all- it IS a computer. Power conditioner in front of that might be a good idea too. Actually, that is not correct. If you use ...

Finally a video snippet from our version (sorry, it's Facebook only!)

recorded on an evening when the tempo was not overly conducive to playing the stabs very easily

I have an improvised folded cardboard sunshield that I simply gaffa on to the keyboard for the occasional outdoor gigs we do.

It looks more like one of ASRock's industrial boards to me. Maybe the IMB-140D?

Free tip: the left hand pad in the chorus is actually FCD followed by FBD. You're playing something like FAD and FAC.
So it is!.... and yes I was! Thanks for spotting that :D

Just thought I'd share a live recording of our version of Uptown Funk. It's a recording straight off the FOH PA, so is a little unbalanced and the version is a little rough as this was played about 2hrs into a 3.5hr gig  http://drstudio.da-media.co.uk/korg/UptownFunk-28-02-2015.mp3 The brass ...

The person who requested this... I don't know if they were asking for all of the sounds in the chorus, or if it was just the main sound. I assumed the primary horn sound was the majority of what they wanted to that's what I made. Whoever requested it, please let me know if this is what you needed ...

CGoodhines, I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to say. I'm not aware of anyone giving enigmahack a hard time or expecting the requested sounds to be produced by any deadline but rather as and when he has the time to attempt recreating them. Quite the opposite, everyone has been respectful and ...

I previously use this Velcro technique to mount an SMPro Audio V-Machine to the left hand top metal panel on the M3-88 I had before my K73. I had no problems with residue when it came to removing the tape in order to sell it.

Sorry this is a bit rushed as I'm off to play a gig very shortly, but here's a couple of photos that may help. The first is my Nexus tablet showing the Velcro strips on it's case and the Kronos, the other are the Velcro strips for my Nanopad: http://drstudio.da-media.co.uk/blog/velcro1.jpg http ...

No problem. I used self-adhesive Velcro tape, like these here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/self-adhesive-velcro-tape I apply them by sticking a couple of strips of the "hook" Velcro to the bottom of the Nanopad using it's own adhesive layer. I then Velcro matching lengths of "loop" Velcro tape onto ...
