(Belgium) For Sale: Korg M50-88

Mint condition, never left the house.

I'm looking for something more portable (less weight) for rehearsing and gigging.

Asking 999 EUR but you're allowed to make me an offer or a trade.

in that case... forget it! Although 80 bucks seems a good deal for the Karma software as a package, I don't believe that _you_ have to loose 30 on it just to be able to transfer a fully paid license (which you did... you bought it, you ain't gonna use it anymore, you should be able to sell it or ...

I've had great results using an Edirol UA25-EX as an audio interface. Costs about $200.

I managed to get it working in Reaper... maybe that will help you. The steps are probably very similar although I don't know anything about Studio One

A Mic-in is typically phantom powered (amplified), so yes that may be the distorting factor. You'll get better results using a Line-In, although you may try to lower the amplification of the Mic-in to an acceptable level if you don't have a Line-In. But if you really want to do some recording, you ...

+1 for the 88 key

although, if you're used to synth action keys you'll need some practise in the beginning

I'll never consider anything else anymore now I'm used to it ;-)

Everyone's quest for a 'good grand piano' sound is confusing me. In 40 years of playing I've never heard 2 pianos sound alike. They may be similar, but never exactly alike. Why look for that one sound? Good piano sounds are relative. What I think is good you may hate. I think my old steinway ...

I suggest to not only offer your programs and combis as a .PCG, but also in the format that the M50 editor uses (ie .M50program .M50combi...). Those files are much smaller, and using the M50 editor you can easily choose in which program/combi bank and number you store them. I haven't found a way to ...

Re: Still debating with myself...

I also haven't had a chance to listen to many of the piano patches, how good are those? You should test them out. That is the only way you'll know for sure. But I, for one, am really happy with my M50's piano sounds. I compared them to a lot of synths (mostly soft synths, but also my Roland SC55 ...
