Although 80 bucks seems a good deal for the Karma software as a package, I don't believe that _you_ have to loose 30 on it just to be able to transfer a fully paid license (which you did... you bought it, you ain't gonna use it anymore, you should be able to sell it or ...

I managed to get it working in Reaper... maybe that will help you. The steps are probably very similar although I don't know anything about Studio One

A Mic-in is typically phantom powered (amplified), so yes that may be the distorting factor. You'll get better results using a Line-In, although you may try to lower the amplification of the Mic-in to an acceptable level if you don't have a Line-In. I suggest to not only offer your programs and combis as a .PCG, but also in the format that the M50 editor uses (ie .M50program .M50combi...). Those files are much smaller, and using the M50 editor you can easily choose in which program/combi bank and number you store them. I haven't found a way to ...
