another thing..
This style of mixing is going to sound weird but layer a parametrically filtered drum (filtered drums just keeping high end) over the normal drum track and this beefs the high end and mid range just enough that you can whack massive bass under it if required. Seems to give a better and fuller high ...

sharing your pain
I am trying to work out levels for clubs too, so far the only thing i've come up with that makes tracks more club friendly/less speaker killing is to compress 4:1 >20dB the entire track. Guessing you already do compression of some kind but thought i'd mention it anyway. Davo ...

Anyone had a korg MIDI port break?
Anyone else found their midi port suddenly fail for no obvious reasons? the midi input on the back of the korg ms2000 only works if upward pressure is applied. The build quality is freaking me out..
