Just curious. Have you gone to Global - Basic and played with the Aftertouch Curves?

Re: Korg Kronos 3 Has Landed.

My sister got the Kawai piano and lessons. I would open the top and scrape a screwdriver across the springs. I was never traditional. I recently had the opportunity to play a Yamaha Montage M8x that was recently donated to the high school that I graduated from in 1984. The feel of the keys was ...

Re: Korg Kronos 3 Has Landed.

If I was in the market for a K3, I would purchase an 88-key unit. 🙂 Just an aside. In 41 years or buying keyboards, I've never purchased an 88. I don't like weighted keys, because I do a lot of fast strike attacks on drums and synth sounds. Also, I like taking keyboards on trips, so it helps that I ...

I went to both of those sites and Kronos 3 is backordered on my browser. Did they sell out an early batch?

Re: Aftertouch-Set up for volume fade out

it works, however the volume change is a step change to zero volume when pressing the keys down harder. I was looking to gradually fade out the sound You should be able to slowly apply pressure and get that long fade out. I am able to do it, but I'm using an external keyboard, because my Nautilus ...

Re: Kronos 2025 documentation

It seems that there are many new interesting little things in the sequencer You had me going for a moment. I was hoping that the Cue List (song chain) function was reinstated (from Triton series). Like Voip, I looked through the Parameter Guide and all of the functions seem the same as before. It ...

Re: how do you set split points in combi mode?

In combi mode, go to the MIDI Filter/Zones page. Select the Keyboard Zones tab. There you can select a note limit (High and Low) for each program.

Re: How do you change a drum kit in combi mode?

On the combination mixer page (the main one), highlight the program you want to work on. From the dropdown menu, select EDIT PROGRAM. Go to the OSC/PITCH page and touch the drum kit. You can use the rotary knob to scroll through kits, or you can tap the arrow to the left of the kit to see the other ...

Re: Aftertouch-Set up for volume fade out

There are a couple of ways. The first is to go to the filter page for each oscillator - Filter 1 and Filter 2. On each page, you will see LEVEL. Next to that is AMS. Select Aftertouch and set INTENSITY to -99. Do it for both. The other way is to go to the IFX page. Go to the INSERT IFX tab. There ...

Re: Battery

I've never changed the battery on my Kronos X, which I got around 13 years ago. When the Kronos and Nautilus batteries go, I plan on opening it up, myself. I've changed batteries on the OASYS a couple of times, but that only requires 2 screws to lift up the "hood." Kronos and Nautilus have a bunch ...

Re: Recording Volume changes on Audio Tracks

It can be done. First, go to GLOBAL - MIDI page and Set MIDI Out Setup - Parameter Edit to Sysex, instead of Control Change. On the front panel, I set the Knobs mode to USER (the blue light). In the Sequencer mode go to the Controllers page. Assign Knob 1 to Mixer (top row), then Volume (3rd row ...

Re: dead switches

Deoxit works on OASYS switches (I revived about 6 of them), but I have not tried with Kronos. So far, I haven't had a switch go dead, and I've used it a lot. Curious to see if you get any answers about this.

Re: Additional Synth to complement Kronos ?

Korg Multi Poly is very nice. But, I don't know if I'll get that one, as there seems to be some overlap with Kronos. I'm actually looking at Moog Muse and Melbourne Instruments Nina.
