triggering "chords" mode from external input?

has anyone found a way to play in a single note from an external keyboard and have the associated channel ( or the one that is currently selected) play in the Chord mode rather than as a single note? Its a real shame if not as it seems Korg have really missed a trick for those of us who would like ...

New K3+ and KoPro+ Firmware

Im surprised no one has posted yet about the new KP3+ firmware, apparently it increases the accuracy of the midi clock tracking.

has anyone used it yet? results?

also , I have the older KP3 ( non + ) can anyone tell if we can use or hack this file to upload to our regular KP's?

Hi all, just an update, I finally got my new replaced ES2 through the mail today ( 2 weeks after it was promised) . I have yet to plug it in but the innitial impression is that the pads are *better*than the first batch version I had, but still not as high as my E2 , the front ones are fine and the ...

Just to add weight to this being an issue, I sent mine back via the lovely folk at GAK for a straight swap from the newest shipment (ie not from the first batch, they are due in on the 24th of this month) . Korg seems to have played down the whole thing, happily exchanging units with no fuss but not ...

I would open your samples up in an audio editor where you can see the wave and make sure there is no silence before the attack of the sample, this would "feel" sloppy in comparason to the incoming midi clock

Here is an update that made me think Korg are finally beginning to take notice of their customer base. I just got this off one of my sales contacts, passed back to them frmo Korg US. "Just to let you all know that all of these comments have gone direct to the lead engineer the Electribe 2. Of course ...

Here are three small changes that would really make the Electriebe units work on another level without needing much CPU power. 1. MOMENTARY mode for MUTE so you can HOLD mute down to select the parts you want to mute and then go straight back to the mode you were working in upon release 2. ODD ...

I'll trade ya my ES2 for your Rthym !! :) On another note...have you thought of pairing the Octatrack with the crazy cheap MPX8? its crazy cheap and a little noisy on its own samples, but you can leave its samples empty and just use it to trigger the Octa or use it as one potential sound source ...

BTW , no problem at all with using the image Dutchcow...we are all investigating the same issue with whatever tools are available. I don't think you are being picky at all... 8 months since paying for my pair, I have had one with a buggy firmware now one with a physical issue that is different to ...

Seems Dutchcow has beat me to it and posted my picture already...however the one he has put in is actually the EMX2 which in my opinion is fine, with raised buttons...the one with the issue is the ESX2 which is clearly recessed into the case at the back row http://s4.postimg.org/yajemtn9l/ESX2_with ...

Ive seen one of these locally in a pawn shop for £50, is there any way you can record in realtime loop mode, like the electribe? i.e set a bar length and be able to record a sequence and then have that loop back and begin to play whilst you either punch out and jam over it or continue to record more ...

Features still needed AFTER 1.10 update

I just wanted to share with the group the new list of feature implementations that I will be requesting to Korg after the 1.10 update. I have grown more used to a lot of the quirks but these little changes could REALLY make the Electribe into a GREAT solo electronic machine for live work 1 ...

ESX - EMX faux "random" drum parts

Can´t believe I have only just realised this... If you want to add a bit of flavour to your drum patterns that makes them feel like they are evolving, simply set the LFO or AMP with a vry extreme negative depth , pick the random wave and set to a slow sync speed--- the limitation is that the sound ...
