Thank you guys. Job done. Did it the usb way and the Kronos and Logic are talking to each other now. Couldn't get it to work via midi cable.
Appreciated - the forum help as always is great.

Kronos as simple master keyboard

Sorry about this one - I've used the search function but no luck. As a temporary measure I want to use my Kronos as a straight forward midi controller into Logic pro on my IMac so that it plays my Kontact instruments. (Obviously I use Kronos normally as well !!) With my Kurzweil I simply had a midi ...

Hey Sharp - yep i was still thinking it had the PA1X and PA2X limitations but am so pleased to have merged Vocal Assault (love it so much) with the Irish grand and IA piano sets all useable at the same time
Is there a way to put the two piano sets both say into User 1 though ?

With thanks

Hi Pete It was £9.99 but that was really to cover the cost of the sizeable usb stick and p & p It has these tweaked sounds, and new performances but also a host of new songbook settings. These include a new ethereal style (similar to Tyros 4 and 5) which is very good indeed. There are also Christmas ...

Thats a good point Pete The file extension for these sounds is .PCG and it loads into USER03 Does that indicate it is just an onboard tweaked sound, as opposed to a fresh sample I wonder ?! There is no separate "SAMPLE" folder within the usb contents - so the more I think about it the more it has ...

Hey Pete

Thank you so much. In the end it was the correct PCG file from my Irish Acts collection I needed to load
And from there I think I have stumbled upon the solution to my other Irish Acts problem posting - a problem I've had for years
Working on it now
Thanks again Pete - you're a star

Korg Soundware usb stick

I have just purchased the soundware stick from Korg which came out a few months back. It was reviewed in an issue of "Organ and Keyboard Cavalcade". The review mentions newly sampled Pan flute, Accordian, Mantovani strings, Acker Bilk clarinet and a golden trumpet. However my usb stick contains only ...

Another old Irish Acts problem revisited

A while back I purchased the Irish Grand PA2X.SET which was a joint venture between Sharp and Rob Sherratt. When I load this .SET into my PA3X it unfortunately also loads in some old performance settings. The first performance is called "Grand Old Rob" It replaces all my V1.6.2 performances and also ...

Old Irish Acts problem revisited

A while back a forum member offered to combine some Irish Acts sound .SETs for me on the basis that I was purchasing the Irish Grand piano.SET and some others. I also purchased the EXB - 256 sample memory Due to personal reasons he was not able to carry out his offer. I am revisiting this now I'm ...

3 wave sequences in one combi

I love the Kronos wave sequences and I combined three into one combi and this in turn inspired the following composition called "Acceptance"

Just wanted to put my own take on this thread. I did a quick on the fly recording of the PC3K using it's own equivalent of a combi. - www.xtremekeys.co.uk (navigate to Planet E - video - TechnoTunnel) I am very fortunate to own both Kronos and the PC3K 88 - along with Motif XS, Fantom X V-Synth and ...
