Yes, you are. That's what I did too.
Actually there are four of them.

2ch Mix to Media is grayed out here... -- sorry, my harddisk was in sleep I guess, when I pressed Media and retried it worked. So I do copy from combo/patch, hit sampling record and play all I want. A little different than what I though, but it works allright, just have to pick a combo or a patch ...

Refer to page 127 of the owner's manual: Resampling a song to create a WAVE file. No, not a song, just airplay and sample this. Or isn't this possible? (apart from import combi into song, record song, play, sample song as WAV) Just like a instant record whatever I do to WAV option, that's what I ...

How can I directly sample to a .WAV?

I want to just play around and whatever I play to record as a .WAV file om my connected harddrive, but sample to MEDIA is grayed out?
Is it possible to just play whatever you like and record this within the M3 directly to a USB harddisk?

Hey that's great! Thanks for letting us know that it did speed up. Maybe it's due to the type of SD Card you are using. Yeah, it's one of the fastest cards still out there. I wasn't able to find the recommended Transcend 150x speed, so I thought this Extreme III card would be good too, and so it is.

So it works! It isn't flying, but it did speed up *a lot* compared to the old way (USB Flash drive). I've made some pictures. Here's the beast opened up: http://i43.tinypic.com/2sac9l3.jpg The old and the new card: http://i42.tinypic.com/aayib5.jpg There goes the new one: http://i41.tinypic.com ...

I use my SP555 as jingle player in my radio studio, fits the purpose ;)
At the moment I have my M3 module opened up, removed the SD and copied everything on a Sandisk Extreme III 2GB, including the EXB stuff, let's have a look what it does ;)

Re: Is it possible to speed up loading the EXB1-4?

Although I think it's really annoying that the M3 doesn't store this in memory at least when it's plugged in, there's not much to do about that, so can I speed up the loading process? This is the case with ALL samplers. The samples have to be loaded into memory at startup. The only thing you can ...

What to do with the pedal options?

I have 2 pedals, a sustain and a switching pedal.
The sustain pedal is hooked to DAMP, the other to either of the two other ports but it doesn't do anything. Where can I setup the functions for the other two pedal ports?

Is it possible to speed up loading the EXB1-4?

Well, everybody noticed that booting up the M3 takes ages, especially with autoloading EXB1-4. I just got my M3-73, it came with XPanded 2.0.0 software and the EXB-Radias (which I really love!). After 2 days I bought the EXB-M256 and hooked up a USB flash pendrive to provide the EXB1-4 sounds ...
