Ah ok well thats not a total dealbreaker. How long does it take to load the sample memory form from scratch to full?
Oh also how does it deal with synthesis with single cycle waveforms?

Electribe Sampler doesn't remember samples after power down?
I read this elsewhere and just wanted to ask if this is true? On power down it doesn't remember the samples or where in the patterns they are used so on powerup you have to find them manually on the cf card an load them?
Is this correct?

Volca Sample reverb quality?
Hi there I'm in the process of waiting for the electribe sample to come on the market (what a wait) and was wondering about buying a volca smaple in the meantime. It seems like a really fun box but since I tend to do quite ambient/minimal and reverb heavy stuff I was wondering how good the quality ...

Counterpoint, the octatrack is a pain in the ass to use, its got far too much menu jumping and the ESX is a far better drum machine style sampler with a more hands on interface IMHO. Also if you want a better reverb put the extra channels through a desk with a pro reverb. If I could only have one ...

I owned ( and still do) an es1 and ea1, always wanted and still do, the er1, I electribe just made me want the hardware more. I was never too interested in the em1, though I had a friend who got some good sounds out of it. The ea1 is rather limited, no LFO, very basic only lpf, but it's good for ...

Yep for me the biggest issue with the ESX2 specs if the tiny sample memory. I mean seriously my MPC1000 is nearly a decade old and has 128mb of ram IE: 26.5 minutes sample time. The new ESX2 only has 270 seconds (IE: 4.5 minutes). How can a decade old sampler have over 5 times the memory of a brand ...
