Dang.. That reverse key model is awesome. I really hope this prompts them to jump back into the software on this thing and fix some real issues that were just plain ignored. Just to repeat... crazy over drive in organ amp sim Less crazy, but still not nice, over drive in all other amp sims. random ...

The issue wasn't finding the screws to take out, it was accessing the tube, which from our perspective required taking the keybed out. I realized this voided the warranty, but honestly the warranty isn't worth much to me, as any time I've used it, it takes at least a month to get a keyboard back ...

so i finally got it replaced.. its not easy. I actually took it to a dealer and he thought he could just pop it right out.....nope. The whole keyboard has to come apart to get enough leverage on the thing to get it out. The guy had take apart about 50 keyboards before and said this was by far the ...

Tube died?

Ok, so my replacement is not even a half of a year old and the tube has gone out? I played last night just fine with no cutouts or anything.. start it up today and it won't play when the amp modeling is turned on. Is the tube actually bad already, or is there something I can do?

I'd definitely suggest some powered studio monitors
I picked up some Alesis 520usb monitors for 180 and they work just fine.. I could probably use a little more bottom end when i turn the volume up, but they do extremely well for the price.

it happened to me as well. Though its not as bad, I have learned to deal with it. The thing still inspires me to play, and its a blast. I will definitely hold reservations for Korg's keybeds in the future though. Its a shame, but it is what it is.

Also, and I posted this in another thread, but since this is not an offficial Korg forum, I wonder if anyone from the company even reads this forum or knows it exists. Perhaps this is the wrong tree we are barking up. Its not an official forum, but the reps certainly watch the forums. Just go look ...

Then how would you explain my unit not doing it until two weeks ago even though I've been using it since Nov as well as the other people who have tested theirs not hearing it? I personally would not describe it as a ringing sound - sounds more like a squeek generated by something rubbing. I can ...

Well I am happy to see there are a few people speaking up about their positives with the RH3 on other keyboards. I would say the Kronos has a better chance of not having the issues. I'm just wondering what's so different about the chassis of the sv-1 to cause the issues. I still have one reservation ...

Dan has already said they are using different components, which were probably the parts causing an issue or at least to those few units that were found to be faulty You've had 2 RH3 keybeds both had issues, why are you contemplating buying another synth with one fitted and just because you had faults ...

Let me clarify that its POTENTIALLY damaging. I have faith in Korg for this one. Its a huge product launch. But I just wanted to bring awareness to the possibility.

I'm told that the KRONOS keybed is slightly different from the SV-1, with different rubber parts for a smoother feel. I don't have any more details, however (keybeds are done in Japan, not by my group here in the states). - Dan Who do I have to pay to get that improved keybed in my SV? Probably the ...
