I finished up two days ago. I have had mixed success. The k pad works about 75% of the time now. Not sure if it's because I reseated all of the connections or the heat dissipation. I'll post the pics later.

Try separating the tracks and recording them one at a time, or cut the last 10 min and rebuild it in your daw.

Appearently you need scsi cable to connect to a dos (fat 32) drive. Is there a way to get the cd written in data instead of music?

Hey, During my teardown I ran the mixer for around four straight hours with the mixer seperated from the chassis. I took temperatures with my multimeter and were unexpectedly cooler then I thought they would be. I have installed a fan. As for running in "hot" mode. I never have. I have never had a ...

I think my solution to this issue will be to install fans to dissipate the heat. It appears that my problems with the y axis develop as the mixer warms up. Apercot I'll send you an email today describing how to pull out the the connection to the kpad and see if you can regain function to the y axis ...

work around for the meters zero 8

Hello all! Looks like I found a fix for the meters not working on the korg zero 8. I figured this put when I was doing a teardown to fix my kpad. So what your going to want to do is grab a Alan key and remove the 4 screws that hold the plexiglass down over the meters. [/img]http://gallery.me.com ...

It seems like the circut boards warp over time. I believe the power supply runs very hot, causing the problems. I don't want to start a lawsuit or anything. But, I feel like if we all band together we may be able to get some support from korg. Pm me if your interested.

Got some grim news guys. I tore apart the whole mixer. I sarted at around 2am and it is now 9am. My take on this situation is that the control board is to blame I.E. The circuit board. I was under the impression (before I took it apart) that there were two separate boards for the front right panel ...

Has anyone actually tried contacting KORG for support? That should really be your first action when encountering a hardware failure, before even posting on an unofficial forum. X- trade, hello. I am fairly skilled at these types of repairs. I took a course in college where our final was to rebuild ...

I fell victim of a horrible crime last night and haven't slept since... My LCD touchscreen is half dead aswell. I can't use the lower half of the screen. Oh well! I'm headed off to the hardware store to grab a new set of Alan keys so I can tear this mother down. I'll take pics of the whole process ...
