Bought the Dance extreme EXB PCM-04 - what floppies to get?

I just realized I don't have any of the floppies required to load the expansion card I just installed. I fact I don't have any floppies at all for my Triton rack. Can any of you advise me on what floppies to buy and what the procedure is to install the sounds? EDIT - looks like it's this and I ...

Well I do not have the ESX. But the EMX I bought had stock tubes and they were just like yours. They distorted excessively rather fast when turned up halfway. The upgraded JJ tubes do not distort with the knob maxxed. Instead they just give you great tonal saturation.

Look at the stickies here. People change their tubes out for new ones to reduce this. I can run my tube drive knob fully to the right now that I upgraded to JJs.

The used Electribes sell so fast right now that I am pretty sure Korg is aware of how popular it is. I would definitley like a new one in a few years simply because I believe groovebox production is the way to go for me.

OK..Which audio out jack are you using? Start with L/Mono. Use that one. Then go to edit part and make sure that your sounds are routed to go through that out, and not outs 3 and 4.

That is great..thanks so much.

This groovebox is amazing. I have had it 2 days and have already made beats that are slamming. What a fun way to write music. I am going to start tracking into my DAW tonight, if that goes smoothly and the timing is right, I will be quite happy.

I can copy sounds and parts, how about a full pattern?

I was wondering if you can copy a full patteron the EMX1. I noticed that if I go to a new pattern, press a part button then hold shift/copy part, and scroll to the orginal pattern, press the part I want and then press copy part again, it will bring over the MIDI sequence. BUT when I try and bring ...

I do not believe it will affect the frequencies at all. In my experience a DI box has always cleaned up my sound. Having the proper chain is extremely important if you have hiss. You need 3 things if you want high quality tracking : A good passive and active DI (possibly not needed with the ...

Gil, I prefer the tracks to be lined by MIDI sync. It is always the tightest way to lock your tracks and make sure you have kept the exact feel that you created in the machine.

How hot are you tracking in? You want the peaks to be -12db in your DAW.

Also, have you considered using a direct box?

Huge help..thanks so much for that. So you are saying that the tubes do not affect outs 3 and 4? So I am assuming that you are using the L/Mono output to track in with? I would like to saturate each track too since I bought new eurotubes to upgrade the machine with. Sounds like we work the same, so ...

Exporting EMX 1 Songs to your DAW to mix

I use Cubase to mix. I plan to dump my EMX tracks into my DAW. I have always been mainly ITB with no hgardware, so I have a few n00b questions : 1. Syncing the DAW and EMX1. I want the DAW to track in on tempo so all the tracks are lined up. I imagine this requires a MIDI cable to the input of my D ...

Some of those wishful features are great but I personally bought one so I can compose music and not be near a computer at all. I don't have a huge problem with limitations because they make me more creative....which is one of the reasons I hunted down this machine in the first place.
