Re: KRONOS Patch Lists for OSX: midnam and middev files for
I placed the file generated by the Editor (named Korg Kronos.midnam) in the MOTU folder (after authenticating as the admin user), as instructed. I'm sorry for the ambiguity in the editor's onscreen text. Hopefully we can fix that in a future version. The midnam file doesn't need to be in a ...

Re: KRONOS Patch Lists for OSX: midnam and middev files for
This isn't working. I can confirm that I have only one icon in the Audio/MIDI setup MIDI window for the Kronos, and it is a USB icon. Here's what I'm doing, as per the KRONOS Editor manual (Page 31). To save the midnam file and move it to the appropriate folder: 1. Press the XML midnam... button 2 ...

Re: KRONOS Patch Lists for OSX: midnam and middev files for
Thanks, Dan! I'll have a look at this today. I followed the instructions to the letter and all I got was Patch 1, Patch 2, etc., but I'll have another look. Great news that the middev file doesn't need editing. Editing the midddv file should not be necessary. When connected via USB you don't even ...

Re: KRONOS Patch Lists for OSX: midnam and middev files for
Dan, if you could chime in on this one, I'd be immensely grateful (as would all DP-using Kronos owners!). I'm hoping someone with more knowledge than me can help. One of the new features in the Kronos Editor 2.0 is its ability to export Mac OS X ".midnam" files. These are XML files that allow ...

KRONOS Patch Lists for OSX: midnam and middev files for DP8
I'm hoping someone with more knowledge than me can help. One of the new features in the Kronos Editor 2.0 is its ability to export Mac OS X ".midnam" files. These are XML files that allow Digital Performer (I just received DP8, but I think it is the same for DP7, as well) to display Kronos Programs ...

i have purchased all the libraries thus far. The purchasing system works progressively, so as you buy it deducts from your available credit. At the end of each purchase a balance amount shows. Cant answer your expiry date question. Thanks for the information, Billy! By some chance are the names of ...

Using OASYS Credits for Kronos Libraries
Would someone who has used their OASYS credit towards the purchase of new Kronos sound libraries comment on how the process worked for them? Like many others, I have $750 worth of credit but, to date, there aren't yet $750 worth of sound libraries available. If I buy some now, will they "use up" my ...

Kronos 88 Keybed
I've read a lot of the posts in this thread. I own a Kronos 88. For me, it is the nicest action I've ever experienced in a keyboard (other than a Steinway Model D that I played once). I've owned an OASYS, several Kurzweils, a Motif, an Alesis, and a Roland (I can't remember the name now). This ...

Not much of a deal for the OASYS users who have already paid for the extras!. I disagree. I don't remember anyone torturing me so that I would buy my OASYS, nor the extras (mine is fully expanded). I think it is pretty nice on Korg's part to offer these now at no charge. My advice? Start a company ...

Oasys owners won't be getting any freebies from Korg. You are rich, easy going high-end users and therefore don't need any discounts from poor old Korg who are battling through tough economic times. In fact, starting on 8 August 2011, Korg will be giving these away to registered OASYS owners. They ...
