I monitor through Mackie 2/DLM-12, and a DLM12S sub. Stereo is my preferred monitoring. If it sounds great through the headphones, then it should sound great through your live performance system. If it does not, the problem is in the live monitoring. Go stereo, ensure you have a full-range system ...

Thanks for the pragmatic voice Kevin. You are wholely correct, why would we want Yamaha to make a Kronos? Two of the same keyboard is fun, yet two different keyboards is more fun.

thank Kevin. I read this forum just to see comments and concern over new (and sometimes old) equipment that I am interested in. People who whine about things should be trashed, or Thrashed (Kevin?). I, personnally, can not wait to get my hands on the Montage. Hell it's number three right now on my ...

The Krome is not my favorite keyboard, but it is very reliable. It has travel on airplanes across the US as checked baggage. It works as advertised. I've recommended to some people. I typically pair it up with the FA-06 along with a KingKorg for live performance, as it sounds great, plays fine, and ...

Most Instruments (synthesizers, workstations, arrangers) sound great, and if they don't, it's you sound system, your ears, or your attitude. I'd love a new Tyros, but not at the expense of my Kronos. Since most keyboards sound great, it's a manner of the instrument's features and how well they match ...

I read these arguments and come to ask one question, Are you collecting specifications or making music? (I collect specification & styles all the time, but I try not to get it confused with actually playing/creating music. The bad musical instrument or tool is the one you don't use. And use can be ...

I don't believe the Kronos should ever need EQ adjustments. (of course selecting and edit different programs for any song maybe necessary and appropriate.) That said, the interaction of the venue, the sound system and the volume level, can require EQ adjustment. You may find your need to EQ your ...

Pretty funny, you play your life away and not make a dime at it, but some cartoon is a superstar. What's wrong with America? Other countries seem to be more willing to pay for Art and Entertainment. In the United States there a two type of musicians, the 1% which people pay for and then 99% who can ...

Has anybody tried the Mackie DLM8 or 12? I currently use SRM450's, while they sound great, but the sound does not really come together until your about 8 to 10 feet away, and when I use them as wedges (3-4 foot). The sweet spot is very narrow, and the closer and louder the monitor volume the more ...

richyrich,

Stereo is the only way, cost about twice as much.

I am also in the market for a new live sound system.

I am currently using two Mackie SRM-450's.

Primarily rock and roll, with some electronic.

Others, please post your system and genre and opinion.

Hey NuSkoolTone,

What style or genre or you doing? What's the other instruments? Are you just running mono?

People who own K's seem to love them as much as people who own Kronos.
