Korg has been notoriously tight-lipped about the future of the Electribe 2. There's been some buzz on this forum about "big news" for the E2, but nothing confirmed. IIRC, Mistabishi tweeted about the E2 becoming "the most customizable synth ever," but later deleted the tweet. I think Korg may have ...

I use the Volca Sample in this way, sampling the Electribe drums and moving them to the Volca Sampler, letting it to the drum duties in favour of unleashing the amps and full polyphony of the Electribe. I'm doing this through an Audio In oscillator, though, since all the good stuff that comes with ...

In channel 1 (pad 1) that would be the part that played the keys via midi from the E2 then in pads / parts 2, 3 and 4 I would set those to the same audio in but with different effects settings to get a more richer almost unison synth type of sound. I actually hadn't thought of the possibility of ...

Electribe 2 & Volca Keys

I spent the first few weeks with my Electribe 2 solo - that is, jamming without any other gear - with the intention of familiarizing myself with the workflow and sound engine. After I reached the point where my sessions with the E2 were becoming more productive, I decided to add some additional ...

i am sure that the box unfolds itself after some use but the problem is i found no actual depth to it. there is no learning curve really. its simple. I should clarify, the new Electribe is pretty straightforward. Anyone with a basic knowledge of synthesis and experience with groovebox sequencing ...

The E2 seems to be very polarizing. I'll admit, I never owned the hardware EMX, but spent plenty of time with iPad version. I can certainly see where a big fan of the EMX would be confused and frustrated by some of the workflow changes in the new box. I bought the E2 on a whim after watching ...

Thanks for the reply, I think a rigorous air dusting is in order. If that doesn't help, I'll probably take it to someone who knows what they're doing - the KP3 is essential in my setup, I don't wanna muck it up even worse.

Volume knob and slider scratching on KP3

I've had the KP3 for about 3 years now, but the volume knob and slider recent started making a scratching noise when used. I'm assuming this is from dust build-up... Anyone else experience this problem? Any ideas on how to clean it?

Dope s**t, dude. Good to see someone posting their work with the ms here as opposed to just complaining about it. Do you have a soundcloud?

If Korg still sold the MS-20 controller, I'd be all over it. I'm planning on getting the Synthstation 49 when it's released, but I was hoping the NanoPad could hold me over until then. I've figured out how to program the buttons on the NanoPad to send midi messages of my choosing using the editing ...

NanoPad 1 & Korg iMS-20

I know this has been brought up here before, but I just did my best Google-Fu and couldn't find any answers. I picked up a NanoPad 1 for cheap and know next to nothing about Midi. Is it completely useless for iMS-20? I've messed around with the midi assignments enough to figure out how to control ...

No doubt Korg did a wonderful job! It's just that the original MS-20 had all the complexities of the cosmos and most people of the iGeneration are used to simple, streamlined ways of creating loops. I think an iOS version of the Kaossilator would make more sense for Korg, although I do appreciate ...

Seriously? You must be trollin', brah. Just looking at the interface of the iMS-20 can give nightmares to someone who hasn't been tinkering with electronic music for years. This ain't my first rodeo, and I can get by in iMS-20 but still feel like I'm using <20% of the program's potential. GB is on ...

Upon searching, most of what I can find looks like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00004Z5CP/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1306284324&sr=8-1 Two rings as you mentioned, but it looks remarkably similar to the one I already have. Perhaps it's just a bunk cable? Maybe you could link to the one you use? Also ...
