MDE-X is not a stand alone program but just an fx plugin. You should be able to start it from an appropriate host.

Yes, even de cables. As to the PC/Mac version, there has been no difference in how it operates in any version (and I have used every version since the first one). Obviousbly it will need to run through a powered hub on the iPad, as the iPad can't supply the required power. But otherwise it works ...

The plugin can't sync the LEDs as the plugin has no direct access to the controller. All it gets is midi data coming through the host (DAW).
Only the stand alone version can control the LEDs, if using the Korg (native) driver.

According to the plugin path it is trying to open the VST. That can't be right. Logic should use the AU, which is in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components.

MS20 init patch on Mac

The MS-20 plugin on the PC apparently has an init patch option in the "Korg logo" menu. The Mac version doesn't. Neither in the stand alone version nor in the AU.

Is that a bug or is there a reason that option doesn't exist on the Mac?

What do you mean by "greyed out button"? It's not a button but a text link, and it's blue (and working fine). You're not trying to click the "sign up" header by any chance? That looks like a button but isn't. Just click on "Don't have an account yet? Create it before purchase." which is a link that ...

Re: Legacy Collection + Mac Lion

Hopefully Korg will release 64 bit versions of the software in some future update. I'm not sure they would. There is nothing in these plugins that need 64-bit and OS X is fully transparant (64-bit will run 32-bit and vice versa). It's not Windows where 32-bit and 64-bit are two different installs ...

Have you called/e-mailed Korg Support?

This is not an official Korg forum, so you're unlikely to find someone here that can check your registration.

The controller works with any version of the MS20 software (even the iPad version), and with any other soft synth (as a generic controller) for that matter.

It is still a generic eLicenser dongle. I have already used to for other software that needed an eLicenser dongle.

I have been using them both stand alone and from within other applications for several years now on OS X (currently 10.6.7) and have never noticed this problem.

Which version of OS X are you using?

The Agreement linked above is the original one that came with the cd's in 2004. That must have been updated several times already, especially with the USB dongle versions that did allow multiple installs by default.

So if you don't want to use the USB version, why did you download and install the USB version, and not the LA version?
