Hi all, Dreaming - what I'd really love to do is make a new dedicated workstation, based on KARMA 3 (or even KARMA 4, which already has some entries in my development database for potential advancements), sort of a Karma Workstation Mark II. Ah yeah, sure... Incidentally, this is slightly different ...

Congratulations Roland! 40 Years today!
On Apr. 18, 1972, Ikutaro Kakehashi established Roland Corporation in Osaka, Japan with just a handful of dedicated employees. Congratulations to Mr. Kakehashi and all Roland employees all over the world. Thank you for so many great instruments over these 40 years. And I wish you many more years ...

Hey, Exer! It's great to find a fellow EX5 user here. I remember your posts on EX5tech.com. Thanks for the review. Hope you'll have time to go back and test the MOD-7 engine. It's one of the reason why the Kronos it's in my "wish list". Kronos just arrived in my country, (Brazil). It's been featured ...

Re: What Song is this?
Chopin Prelude in C Minor. Manilow used it as the intro to "Could it Be Magic." (Sorry that I know the second piece of trivia!) Don't be sorry! Manilow is amazing! This is the one classical piece I love playing - it sounds fantastic, easy to play, and seems to resonate with a lot of people ...

Ohhhh...almost forget: I've been following Dan's works on the Karma-labs since he started posting his combs for the M3. He's been a gracious guy with everyone who asks for help in the forums there. Always available to help and share his amazing skills as a programmer. His combis are fantastic. Keep ...

Chris, I guess we could take the strictness of your judgement more serious after your first great demo and/or useful patches you deliver. It is always easier to exercise hyperbolic critisism on the nice, gratuious work of others than to be creative yourself. You could become creative yourself on ...

Yamaha was, back in 97 on the right path. With the EX5 workstation(mine is still a workhorse), that had 4 synth engines + sampler. But they decided to scale down to do the Motif and sell optional boards up until the Motif ES(to me the last great Motif). Right there they lost the edge... I think they ...

I totally agree that the K and the J cannot be compared. But I think if you can put them together, and combine their strenghts, it would make a killer set. Many people who bashed the Jupiter because it wasn't what they wanted( a new version of the old Jupiter). But a closer look without prejudice ...

There's an excelent article on this blog: http://createdigitalmusic.com/2011/04/first-look-at-roland-jupiter-80-images-and-reflections-on-the-jupiter-legacy/ I've been very interested in the way that the Supernatural method is used here. I've curious about the "Behavior Modeling" that the article ...

For those who missed live yesterday, the whole show it's here for download. Around two hours of pure magic from master Jarré and his band. One of the best shows I've seen from him in a long time:
