Ok, found the solution myself. In global mode --> MIDI settings, SEQ MIDI Out Setup was set to "for External Seq" which prevented the sequencer to send MIDI commands to external gear. After switching it to "for Master" everything works as expected.

I had the same problem. I accidentally imported 2 .wav files in my sequence with the exact same name. once I deleted one of the wavs, everything worked fine again.

@SpeedyLee: where is the battery positioned exactly? On the mainboard? I tried to find it on some of the pictures of the inside of the kronos here in this forum but couldnt make it out.

Using the Kronos as a plugin should be possible when the editor is released. I hope this will happen in the next few weeks. If you use a Mac, then you can already use your Kronos as an audio interface without any additional drivers etc. If you use Windows, it might work by using Asio4All (just ...

I experienced problems with long filenames and deep folder structures. Could this be a similar problem? How are the names of the files / folders?

did you go to the Global --> Audio page? There you can set up the routing for the usb audio. Just go to Bus Select an choose L/R on both USB 1 and USB 2. The sound from your computer should now be audible.

I'm using my Kronos as an audio interface with my iMac and it works great!

You don't have to load the file into ram since the data will be streamed from disc. first copy the file to the internal drive, in sequencer mode select the audio track, go to the track edit tab and open the dropdown menue.
