Looking for Organ synth

I'm new to keyboard. Primarily play sax, but use a microArranger occasionally to fill in with organ and strings. Looking for something about the same size, with full size keys and a better organ sound. Budget: $500. Got any suggestions?

Do you forsee any problems moving some of the original Korg style files from my Pa50 and any of my custom styles onto the PA900?

Thanks for all the replies so far. The focus of this thread was really to identify the advantages of the PA900 over the PA600 in relation to my needs as a live music generator (ie style accompaniment). The pa3xLE is impressive, however, I don't need the additional keys or weighted keys (not using it ...

Thanks for the quick reply. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I thought the PA900 also had semi-weighted keys? This isn't a major feature for me as I don't play piano much. Also is there something different about the fill-ins on the PA600 & 900? My PA50 has 2 fill-ins, but I think the 600 has 4? and the ...

Upgrading From PA50SD to PA600 or PA900

Trying to decide on which to upgrade to, PA600 or PA900. I currently use the PA50 as a music generator for live performances in our church. So the style functions are the heart of what I use it for. Any improvements here would play a major role in my decision. I have many custom styles i'll need to ...

Please elaborate on how the 600 makes producing custom styles easier than the 500... Thanks! The PA600 allows you to import the entire style structure in one file using midi markers to identify the separate style elements. So you can work on your style in a DAW and once you have all the Intros ...

best way to create new styles?

I use custom styles on my PA500 for live performances. I'm currently using Sonar & Kat2000 building each track & variation individually. This is very labor intensive.... There has got to be a more user friendly and intuitive way. Just wondering what others are doing?

Thanks for the no nonsense answers. Does anyone have a simple way to create styles? Right now I'm using Cakewalk Sonar & Kat2000. Developing each track and each variation individually. This is very labor intensive and time consuming.. Any ideas or suggestions?

Creating Style files using Electribe?

I use a PA500 for live performance accompaniment. Building custom styles is a labor intensive process. The Electribe looks much more intuitive for song creation. Is it possible to develop styles with the Electribe then convert them to be used on my Pa500?

Modifying/Creating Styles PA50SD

Right now, the only way I've found to do this is: Open the STY. file in KAT2000, and convert element to a MIDI. Open the MIDI in Cakewalk Sonar and make the changes and save. Open the modified MIDI in Kat2000 and covert it back to a pa80 STY file. Of course Kat2000 is very querky and doesn't ...

Converting MIDI to PA80 Style

What is the best way to convert a midi file to a style? IO have sonar, and have used it to build individual style variations (v1c1, v2c1, ect.) but how do I save these individual midi's as a style? What other software (if any) do I need?

interstatemusic.com is showing them for $499. I talked to a guy there who said they would be shipping them out in 14-20 days. I wonder if Korg will be offering any promo's for the microArranger's debut?

Newbie! PA50 Style creation

Ok, A friend has a PA50. I have Cakewalk Sonar. I've been playing around with some of his style files and have successfully made a few new styles and loaded them back into his PA50. However I'm using a Yamaha keyboard as the sound module & controller. Of course the styles sound a lot different ...
