I use esc and is the best imo. I havent tried samplyung hardware though you need to be able to isolate each layer and am not sure if esc would to it for you in real time hands free. I just thunk doing i on kronos would be crazy to trim starts, loop it, normalize one by one, to be sounds like a lot ...

Oh man tell me about it!! After hours edting a 8 layer multisample, I 'saved all'' and then wanted to be a good boy because I thought I would have two instances of the same sample taling space on the hd. I went ahead and deleted the other files folders !! Booted kronos and got the missing samples ...
