Hesitate to chime in on this, but a block-level backup of the SSD seems in order. The real question after that would be whether the core system boots directly from the boot flash. I don't know if that's the case or not.

Still, all of this reminds me a LOT of my dealings with Apple computer and their products. Sometimes you *do* have to wait weeks for a replacement if you have the bad luck of buying a D.O.A. product from them... In case it's relevant, I posted a discussion about low end shortcomings and impact of subwoofers in this thread. I'd be interested to see any comments/thoughts about how those issues in the studio monitor scenario translate into the PA scenario (if at all).
