talking synth
Formant filters and oscillators are very helpful, but what about synths without them? Older synths don`t have them. I think it`s a matter of experimenting and combining samples, filters and effects. You can achieve good results with controling wah-wah, resonance, opening of the filters. But the ...

Calibrating Aftertouch and Upgrding the OS - N5/N1
1. AFTERTOUCH Ok, my aftertouch is behaving like it`s not there and when I try to calibrate it I always got an "NG" message. The strange thing is that when I press the key the calibrating "progress bar" is reacting and when I`m finished I always got the "NG". Could it be that key rubbers are worn ...

N5EX
A little correction of tech specs: The N5EX has 18MB of sample ROM and it`s the same as N1, without weightened keyboard and extra outputs. I think it has some extra drum sets more than N1. The N364 is known as "little trinity". To me, it`s one of the nicest looking low-budget synths and at that time ...

N1/N5 pitch bender
You have to define this in every PROGRAM for each of the oscillators, under "pitch LFO" section - page "Pitch Bend Range" (owner`s manual page 33). The default parameter is 2 semitones. You should notice that you can`t define different parameters for up and down, but they share the same parameter ...
