Thanks for the tips/info. Mainly I'm looking to replace the board with the buttons to the right of the screen with the number pad. The Setlist/Combination buttons are physically worn from switching between those modes while playing to edit sounds/mix. I also might swap the pitch/mod stick module ...

Swapping parts between Kronos 61 and Kronos X 73?
I have some buttons that are starting to wear out on my original Kronos 61 and am considering swapping out some of the circuit boards with my Kronos X 73 but I figured I'd see if anyone has done anything similar with good results I plan on verifying the part numbers of any boards to make sure they ...

Thanks for posting! I was hoping that would be possible as I need to keep an eye out for a damaged Kronos to break down into a flyable module size for travel gigs. Relying on rental gear is too nerve-racking! Between compatibility issues and the time spent testing it out, figured it would be best to ...

I've had this happen a few times in the past few years. As far as I can remember, I had just gotten done saving changes to a set list and may have shut the keyboard off during the saving process. On the next boot, I had ALL of my setlists wiped and had to restore using a backup. Since then I've been ...

Years ago I made a string sound on my old Polysix that did that. I was trying to emulate the sound of the bow going up and down. I use it on a shaker sound instead of having to alternate notes for two different shaker samples, it just triggers the second one on release. Works well, especially when ...

If I were to attempt this for live play without sequences or even an arpeggiator, I would look into setting up a sound that used the note off to trigger a double hit, so you would press the key and get your first note then release to get the second note. This way you could just hit 8th notes in the ...

I have been happy with the Gator 61 Key ATA case. The original Kronos 61 sits snug from side to side and there's enough room behind it to store my expression and sustain pedals as well as some cables and a small footswitch.

I'm finding that this stand works well with some minor modifications. http://www.quiklok.com/catalog/?p=productsMore&iProduct=509&sName=QL-742 I took off the bulky plastic cover on the lock mechanism so I could drill a hole on the left side of the locking disc, which I then put a lock pin after it's ...

Thanks for the suggestion. RPPRs could prove useful for some stuff I do live. Currently I'm using pads and triggering them from an external midi controller for simple chord pads. I like the pattern aspect to the RPPR and it could be useful for breaking down percussion parts into 2-3 keys so I can ...

I'm very excited to see the meters function being added. So many times I've tried to find a sound in a combi and adjust the volume on the fly to help balance out my sounds while playing and it can be very hard to see where that particular sound is in a large combi. Having realtime meters showing the ...

I do find that using all upper case letters on the patch names makes it a lot easier to see. And I finally used PCG Tools to sort my Combis in alphabetical order. I wish I did that way earlier as it's so much easier to grab songs on the fly that aren't in my setlist already In a next version of PCG ...

Foggy memory is kicking in but I seem to recall someone using a small flashing led that pulsed with the click. I remember it being mounted somewhere on the kit so the drummer could see it at a glance but no one out front could. Sounds like this http://www.midisolutions.com/prodbtc.htm. We tried it ...
