Just for the record as I've stated before, note cutoffs occurred on the 73 I had whether the damper pedal was attached/used or not. Thanks to someone here mentioning that, it's the first thing I tried. It sure looks like this particular key bed problem is software related. Especially since some of ...

Thanks Jon. I was confused there for a minute. I've heard end of next year at the earliest for that board. I got the PC3 dirt cheap! 8)

PC3 would make a killer combo - but I'm holding out for the K3000!
Are you referring to a Behringer K3000?

Very sad to hear about these continuing problems. I fully intended to buy a 61 later this year or early next year to replace the 73 I had but I'll be waiting to see how all this shakes out. I just picked up a PC3 as a new controller and I think that and a K61 would make a killer combo! I just hope ...

Once again as others have said these problems are most likely in less than 10% of the total Kronos produced. Anyone looking here for information about this keyboard needs to realize that . I mention this again because at first blush, if I were a new member reading these threads I'd be scared to ...

- Possibly something happened in shipping They really said that? One other question - my Kronos came with little cardboard spacers and instructions to keep them and insert into the keybed every time the board is transported. Is this common practice? I've never used spacers on any board I've ...

Also, I agree it doesn't feel like hardware alone - sometimes it's easy to get a failure and sometimes they go away for a bit. Exactly what I was seeing with the 73. Of course the clunking noise of some keys on release is hardware. I'll be very interested to know the cause of the note dropouts. As ...

It seems to me that the 61 for you is the way to go as you can find another keybed with a build quality and action that you prefer. Plus, this is obvious, but you will have the 61 keybed for the organ and synth sounds. I hope you pick up the 61 and thanks for your kind words on one of the other ...

Like Busch, I haven't faced a single hanging OS in months.
I think we were talking about the combi lock up problem. I'm guessing outjet meant the note cutoff problem. I could be wrong.

Re: It's going ...

I've had combis lock up twice while playing. Every note locked on sustain. The second time this happened I had to reboot the unit in order to recover. This might well be fixed in the new OS but who knows. I wonder if this could be related to a faulty or intermittent sustain pedal. I've been using ...

Re: It's going ...

After some serious soul searching over the weekend I've decided to return the Kronos 73 I received last week. I would wait a few months and then try again; hopefully the issue will be resolved by then. As we all know, Korg monitors these forums and as a result must be well aware of the problem ...

Some are cosmetic issues, but the problems dregsor has detailed, such as combis locking up while playing, and the issue both of us are experiencing with notes cutting off are things that are too risky to make our individual keyboards safe to gig with. If yours works well, I am happy for you and ...

runningman67 wrote: Dregsor, have you tried the 61. It's a beautiful semi weighted action in my opinion. Bugs will be fixed with updates. Seems a shame to lose all that learning time on the Kronos .
Just a thought mate.
