Re: Is it possible to change KO 88 Keybed?

Hi All Just wanted to know if there is anyone who has successfully changed their KO 88 Keybed to other than the original. I believe OASYS 88 (RH2) keybed is a Fatar TP-31 w/ After touch. I mean is it actually possible at all to put say a Tp-40/41 Keybed in there The reason being is on my KO 88 the ...

Do you think you could've hit this very key somewhat harder than it could stand somewhen back?

Or rather, could it've been subjected to excessive amount of dust?

It's quite likely the LS action uses a diode matrix, otherwise it would end up with way too many wires, a totally different logic, etc. So do you think a qualified tech can scan these matrices and make them work together? The Triton uses dedicated KLM-2332 and KLM-2331 boards to fit the Fatar, but ...

I'll try to not forget, been nibbling at it since 2013

This time the TP/31 stands no chance though, as it has ultimately become destroying my cartilage with its crazy 75 to 95 grams downweight. Whereas a light touch upright piano is 30.

Any idea if a deliberate lack of Aftertouch may add up to the lightness of the keys perhaps? The FSR component for aftertouch (AT) and its felt under the Kronos keyboard weight almost nothing. The LS is lighter because of the different type of action, which doesn't include things like the heavy ...

What about the Vox Continental?

Kronos RH3 aftertouch strips compatibility with other PCBs.

Hi, I've owned a Korg Triton Extreme 88 for 9 years already, and while the instrument itself is great, I still can't get used to its super-heavy keyboard action (TP/31 by Fatar), while I'm really into the newer RH3 (Technics). Is it possible to fit an RH3 keybed (the latest one from Kronos X and ...

out of curiosity, did you see a way to "lighten" up the action to make it play more like a semi-weighted? Maybe to put an extra-thick self-adhesive felt strip over the existing one (inside the RH2 metal casing) to prevent the hammers from being fully released? That would reduce the keystroke though ...

RH2 on the Triton 88 is much too heavy. As someone here put it, heavy little bricks are there to impede your playing.

I wonder if the RH2 (Fatar TP-31)can be substituted for an RH3 (Technics). Seems unlikely.

What is the best way to get some aliasing out of an Extreme? I'm not quite familiar with aliasing.
