Wanted to say thanks to enigmahack for his generosity in sharing the patches in this thread. I recently decided to come out of a long hibernation and audition for a cover band doing 1970's-1980's 'Classic Rock' songs. I ran out of time, and had gotten too involved with learning the 20 tunes, so I ...

You will need to extract the files from the .tar archive. You can do this from the command line in the Terminal application: tar -xf KRONOS_Update1_5_0.tar.gz The above example assumes that you are in the same directory as the file KRONOS_Update1_5_0.tar.gz. If not, include the full path to it, or ...

Keep in mind that there are different levels of software at play in modern keyboards. Most people here are associating any "software" fixes, real, imagined or from second-hand information, with the Operating System software. There is firmware associated with the scanner of the key switches. I would ...

Have you contacted Korg support yet? I don't think they check this site on a regular basis. I added a second video clip (in the same link) to show the blocked key problem up-close. I thought there was a possibility it was my playing style (letting the keys bounce, registering the second MIDI event ...

Yep - the same behavior I saw when I recorded the MIDI out into an external sequencer and looked at the data. I haven't really dug into the onboard sequencer, but there it all is in your picture, clear as anything. Obviously, you can easily miss this on a string pad, but I can hear the problem on ...

I will absolutely update this thread as I get more info. Korg USA has been very responsive to my calls and emails - I mentioned this in a previous post. It can still be software, but Korg didn't jump to that conclusion and want to have my board back for an investigation. The general impression they ...

It can still be software, but Korg didn't jump to that conclusion and want to have my board back for an investigation. The general impression they gave me was that it was the hardware, based on their line of questioning, my video, the MIDI output and how my unit responded on all the other patches ...

This happens on several engines on my unit. The MIDI output shows the double-triggering where the second trigger is a super-low velocity value and that triggers the mute sample. I can play Ivory II from my Kronos and get a similar effect. I can feel the hammer bounce in my fingers. Doubtful that a ...

Wow, so the rep is either calling you or anyone who is having the problem a liar? In Italy, we have written in many official distributor but in the meantime, the only response we got, is not very encouraging: "From: Mark Airaghi [mailto: @ marco.airaghi ekomusicgroup.com] Posted: Friday, September ...
