Sold a Korg X2 to buy a Triton 10 years ago only to realise just how much better the X2's piano sound was than the Triton...miles better!

I think you misunderstood my post slightly: I place the flightcase on the floor, put the keyboard stand on that then place the Triton on the stand. THe only advantage here is that the leyboard sits at the correct level for me, as I am tall, and the stand is not like a closed scissors which means a ...

I use a Triton PRO. The biggest disadvantage I always found using an RTX stand when standing whilst playing, was the protective cover for the RAM slot sits proud of the bottom panel and is just in the wrong place to get the keyboard properly balanced on the stand. If (from the player's perspective ...

The next time you are looking at the inside of your Triton, remove whatever boards are necessary to gain access the the volume slider. Solder a ground wire onto its external metal casing and solder the other end to a decent ground within the chassis of the keyboard. Noise gone.

Just a little update from earlier: I dismantled my Triton Pro (again) today. I focussed on the (1) Joystick, (2) Ribbon Controller and (3) Analog Audio PCB. Actions & Results: (1) I completely stripped the Joystick down because lately I noticed it wasn't properly centring after use and resulted in ...

Thanks for that. It is very informative. I will try that later. Can you describe in some detail the wierd effects you were experiencing prior to cleaning the RC? In my case I am getting a four semitone pitch increase when I touch the RC anywhere on most patches! It never did this before so it is ...

If cleaning it would solve any issues then, yes please, I would love to know how it works out for you and how you went about it. Thanks for the offer!

Greetings to all

Hi I have had a Korg Triton since before 9/11 and really have had a great time with it, it still is the centre of my rig and I love it. Recently is has been giving me trouble so I thought I would check out the community of fellow Triton users to troubleshoot the issues I am having and hopefully help ...

I would not recommend this. I took a look at the specifications for the triton Rack: See page 113 of the PDF. Here it states that the unit consumes 28Watts at 9 Volts http://www.korg.com/uploads/Support/TritonR_BG_633667559369010000.pdf I did a calculation of the resultant current draw given those ...

Joystick / ribbon Controller Issues on Triton Pro

Hi Guys, Recently, I have noticed a slight random detuning effect whilst using certain patches. For example, I sometimes use the Combi Patch CA010 *Pad Tropolis*. I would often tweak the release time using the assignable knob and also use the ribbon controller to affect resonance etc. Lately I have ...
