16 audio tracks, not 12.

Newish owner here, too.

Never recorded directly to the Kronos, but have recorded vox to a Tascam multitrack portastudio, then imported. Works very well once you know how to do it.

You can focus all you want on your music, but if you don't make it loud enough to hear, what's the point?

I realise this is an old thread, but I am having the same problem trying to clock an SR18 to an M50. I just cannot get it to work. However, if I put the MIDI out of the M50 into an Alesis HR16 and the MIDI out of the HR16 into the SR18, hey presto - it clocks. I have been using MIDI for more years ...

When using a lot of panning, efx and volume changes - recording them - in seq mode, my M50 takes a few seconds to go to the locate point. A minute sounds like a very long time though.

Hello all.

I've had a Korg M50 for about 6 months now, and bought a Microkorg XL last week.

I've had a few issues learning the Korg M50, but have found information on this forum to be very helpful, so thanks to all those who have posted all that useful stuff.

Thanks,

CDA.

The sequencer records all manner of things, not just the EQ - very useful.

Having spent many years using hardware sequencers with displays the size of those found on 70s digital watches, the screen on the M50 is bliss.

Be sure to turn your m50 on without midi cables connected. See if it does the same thing then.

Thanks Korgmann!

You need to make the modifications using the knobs in program mode, and save the programs. If you want to make changes to programs that are permanent in seq mode, use the tone adjust function. Another way is to record the control knob changes in seq mode using overdub.
