Recording and control surface settings

Post by GeraldBart »

Hi Everyone

I am using the M50’s sequencer to record a song. After selecting a track and patch, I would modify the patch using the control surface knobs ( I mainly use the EG Release knob so that the patch would have some sustain effect)

The modifications to the patches are there during recording, but after saving and loading the song, the modifications are no longer there during playback. I would appreciate it if someone would explain to me what is it that I am doing wrong.

Thank you

You need to make the modifications using the knobs in program mode, and save the programs. If you want to make changes to programs that are permanent in seq mode, use the tone adjust function. Another way is to record the control knob changes in seq mode using overdub.

Thank you CDA, for responding. Yes, the modifications I make to the patches are no longer lost during playback :)
