Thanks for the replies peeps. I was thinking along the line of resell value when thinking about getting the official Radias mic, but come to think of it, why would I want to sell my Radias
I'll try to save up a bit and get a proper mic.
Hi Peeps, What's up forum? The included microphone for the Radias is bust. Does anyone know where I can order a new one if that is possible? By the way I live in Europe (The Netherlands) So ordering from the US is not so easy. If not does anyone know of a compatible microphone that can be plugged ...
Thanks! :) About the name: woops, sorry, yeah i read through the rules to fast. It is a Radias by the way. Two timbres. (and they are mono timbres with very little unison [oops did i just give something away  ] so they are perfectly replicable for the R3 polyphony wise). Absolutely no external ...
I'm gonna try this tonight when I get home. It sounds quite fun. I personally like this idea because its very much open to creativity. And if you put your mind to it you can come up with a complicated patch. Two timbres eeh? Tough. Lets go for it! Zuid-Afrika hier kom ik
Hi man, I've owned them both. I still own the Radias but I sold the V-Synth a few months ago. I feel you should only go for the V-Synth if you use the sampling alot. Thats really what its for. A problem I had with the sampling though is that most of the stuff I put in sounded like a ghost of itself ...
xmlguy is right in that you have to find out what this is you're hearing. I've had terrible advice given to me by repairmen/tech guys. Alot of them will say anything to save themselves the hassle or make themselves more money. But I must say that I still find aliasing a big problem on all digital ...
The R3/Radias does start aliasing at a certain point as do all digital synthesizers. I hear it alot because I also use alot of high pitched sounds in my music. It gives about the same effect that you get when applying the decimator effect. Aliasing is not the same as harmonic distortion. Read more ...
Thanks for your time and effort Ruso. :) I think the audio-ins are one of the coolest parts of the MX/SX. I can't remember myself feeding the MX back into the MX though. (I usually use my Moogerfooger) Cool idea though. I've gotta stop being lazy and modulate them drum sounds too. I do it ...
bkboy wrote:you are hearing a smoother sound (instead of harsh and digital) because you are having an R3...R3 DOES sound smoother and warmer than the radias!
Is this really true?
I thought they had exactly the same engine apart from the R3 small limtations and less poly, parts & effects.
