Yamaha vs Korg

Well, the PA3x has been returned and I now have the Tyros4. Please don't think I was down on the PA...its just that I have so much invested in the Yamaha Styles etc I don't have the time to spend and invest time in learning a whole new game. The Pa is a great KB and the one I just returned to ...

Thanks Rikki I appreciate your reply. I learned a good lesson...I usually rresearch thoroughly before I make a big decision. In this case I missed the easy one, are the KB's compatible? I got focused on what the PA3 could do and was impressed. Believe me if I could work around the KB differances I ...

I'am in trouble

Well, here is the end of the story. The PA3x is being returned to Musicians Buy and is being replaced by a Tyros 4. With the help of some of you guys, especially Don I finally figured it out. However, once I did the problem was even bigger, for me in any case. I have 100'and 100's of Yamaha Styles ...

I'am in Trouble

You are all correct. Trust me I do read the manual. I have a Yamaha 900 and still read the manual....I never think I know it all. I always start at the basics and move up the learning curve. I now consider myself an "almost expert" on the 900. And I offer step by step to the "newbies" who ask basic ...

I'am in trouble

I just got my PA3x. Set it up (after spending a lot of time reading the manual) and am now setting here havivg a beer and thinking I must be stupid. It can't be this difficult...or can it. Here are a a few things I need help on. Now I have a Yamaha PSR900 so I am not a newbie. 1. I set then KB to ...

Turn On/Off Battery

I am having trouble understanding this. On my Yamaha 900 I save new styles etc to my user file. The capacity is limited so I have a number of USB sticks with styles, voices etc. If I just turn the KB on and off after use (like my 900) what happens? What do I lose. I may be dense but I have read this ...

I just spent over an hour trying to locate a music store in New Jersey USA that stocked the PA3x.....no find. They tell me they do not stock big ticket items. I wonder how they get sold without trying them out. When you buy a car you try it first, I think, ????? Flip

Don, you mention the OTS feature of the Yamaha as a plus. 1. I usually find that I don't particulary like the OTS setting on my 900 and wind up setting them (voice 1,2,3 etc) myself. However, I must admit I usually do this with any style I import. 2. I never use the music finder so that no big deal ...
