Kronos Random Volume Fluctuations - Suggestions Please
My Kronos X61 (10 years old) has been developing a volume control issue slowly but now it is serious. As I play during rehearsal or a gig, at some point the volume starts to diminish rather suddenly to maybe half or more of what it is set for. I notice it and compensate by turning up the volume as ...

Excellent video and it's my first exposure to sampling. Question: I have a sax sound on my older Roland that I would love to have in my Kronos. Do I sample each and every key and those 73 samples and assign one to each individual key? Or do I do one central sample and then tell Kronos to spread it ...

Getting Pianos to Cut Through the Band
Hi All. I played my Krome 73 at a gig with our 5 piece band. Guitar, Bass, Drums, me on keys and a singer. I use the Krome for Piano, synth, strings etc. and a Hammond SK1 for organs an a couple other sounds. I created a combi to punch up the piano sound. I used 3 timbres of the Live Stage Piano ...

Switching from Kronos to Krome, What would I lose?
Hi All. I've owned my KronosX 61 for about 3 years and it's a great key board. But my keyboard needs have been changing. I have a Hamond SK1-73 as my lower keyboard and use it for Organ and a few other sounds; killer Clav Wah and a few other good sounds. But last year I fell and broke my back. I've ...

According to the Parameter Guide, go to Global P2: Controllers/Scales 2-1: Controllers and under MIDI CC# Assign - Vector Joystick / Pads set VJS X and VJS Y to OFF. This should disable the Vector Joystick. A couple of years ago, I disabled my Vector Joystick by following the commands above. Now I' ...

Michael, I've often thought of doing exactly what you are talking about. The patches & Combis vary so much in volume that its often difficult to go about adjusting them relative to each other and relative to what the you need to cut through in the band. I'd very much appreciate the feature you're ...

You should be able to create a Combi with the same program in both Timbre slots 1 & 2. Then set the pitch of one of them 12 half notes higher or lower. Then when you hit one note, you will get octaves. I do it on my Kronos all the time. I recently got an X50 also and the method should work on it also

This is my experience based on what I've heard and done in my gigging. Stereo is not likely to reach the masses. It is more equipment to carry and it may sound better to you on stage, but those in the bar, theater or other venue are rarely going to notice the difference. Given that amps or powered ...
