Adding a Polysix chorus as IFX also helps a lot with the vintage vibe, especially on a patch like that soundtrack pad. It's not really identical to the JX chorus but has a similar vibe. You will be surprised, but I prefer the VA sound of the KK a lot over the analog Prophet 08 sound (which doesn't sound anywhere near to the Prophet 5 or other classical analog gear I like to my ears). I play the Kingkorg on top of my Kronos 73. With a Kronos with weighted keys (73 or 88 ), the KK keybed works well together. Actually - you make a good point regarding the Access Virus. It has been so successful because of both the strength of the synth engine AND the strength of the presets.
