Both those option seem awkward. I occasionally use the screen to mute channels but its a bit hit and miss, if you miss the button for example. Sounds basic and apologises if you've thought about and rejected this but why not just zone the keyboard and set the different sounds to different octaves ...

Not only can you split the keyboard and play 2 sounds, you can actually have up to 16 different sounds across the board in different zones. Each can be transposed and panned L & R, so if you want you can have a huge 7 note chord (for example) triggered by one single note or anything you want! Combi ...

Krome v Kronos
Hi all, Long term Korg user (M1 OWFD Triton Krome), bought a new Krome 73 last year and a Triton. Love the Krome but want to do more with samples - the Triton samples but the storage (floppy disc) is slow to load. I bought the Krome as I couldn't afford a Kronos. Now that secondhand prices have ...

Thanks for the reply. that makes sense I've found some SCSI boards on ebay. Once fitted I assume one would still need something to store the samples on? CD drive or something? Then this connects to the pins on the rear of the keyboard while saving and loading? THanks in advance for your comments ...

Imagine you are talking to someone that has no idea what a SCSI is or does. Please please could you explain what it is, how you use it and what is the advantage and of course where you get one and how its fitted?Matty_Boy wrote:Floppy drive emulators are just as slow as floppies. SCSI is much faster.
Thanks!!

Following this thread as I'm in the same position - wanting to use the sampling feature live more but getting pissed off with loading tons of floppies at each gig. I don't know much about the SCSI option - there are some on eBay for about £90 but then after buying it is it a) easy to fit and b) does ...

I know what you mean but I don't know off the top of my head how you can do that without using a sample. When I play this track I switch between combi for the chorus and program mode just for the riser part as you need all the octaves. I have the riser sound as a sample somewhere, that way it could ...

Hi Ed, Can't give you a step by step guide because 1) I use my Krome for the rise sound and 2) my Triton is tucked up in the garage and I don't have time to set it up.....but in haste.... You need to find the program that you want (not a combi) and then enable the Portamento feature. I don't use the ...

I had the same problem, took it back to the dealer who sent it to Korg, they replaced the mother board or main board and said it had a "corrupt" piano sample! Push your dealer to send it back or contact Korg if you didn't get it through a dealer, it seems to be a common fault that they are aware of!

Falcon, if I could just ask one more question.... So I have my samples and load them each time I boot up, they go into program E000. What if I now want to do some new samples and have them stored in E001 and E002 as well as keeping the original ones in E000. Do I; A) Just turn on the Triton, do my ...

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've tried again and successfully managed to save and re load my samples and the patch. AT LAST!! Thanks. Took 2 floppies and takes nearly 3 minutes just to load the "'d'oh", hand clap and "W'oh!" sound from Uptown funk. Slow but at least it works, just hope I don't get a ...

Saving and loading samples...Driving me MAD!!!!
Hi all, New Triton user here, only had the board for 2 weeks, bought it so I could sample sounds and play live in stage with my amazing band. However, the thing is driving me nuts!! (Also having a 5 year old, 3 year old and 6 week old baby means I don't have hours to practice!) So, I have my sound ...

Rovito - I agree with comments above. Most will be fine, just keep an ear out for any unusual sounds. (Mine sounded like it was running out of polyphony, when lots of chords or arpeggios were played quickly with the sustain pedal down it would "click" like it ran out of notes.) The Krome is a great ...
